Some travelers were nervous and police were on high alert at the airport after the Nov. 1 shooting attack.
 +
"With what recently just occurred here, everybody's still a little bit on edge," Guardado said.
 +
Hours earlier, an autopsy report on the death of Transportation Security Administration officer Gerardo Hernandez was released,[http://imporcelos.com/funcse.php <b>broncos new jerseys</b>], showing he was shot 12 times with bullets grazing his heart and piercing his bladder and intestines.
 +
The problems started Friday evening when a woman driving on the airport's arrivals loop at had a medical emergency and lost control of her SUV, hitting another woman who was walking on a sidewalk before slamming into a parking garage across the roadway from Terminal 5, Los Angeles police Sgt. Mark Guardado said.
 +
Sounds from the crash spurred reports of gunfire among the passengers inside the terminal, many of whom fled the building, airport police Chief Patrick Gannon said.
 +
"It was determined relatively quickly that there was not a shooting," Gannon said.
 +
Both women in the crash were injured, the pedestrian seriously, Guardado told KTTV-TV. Details on women's conditions were not immediately available.
 +
In neighboring Terminal 4, airport police received an anonymous call just after the crash reporting a gunman at a specific gate, Gannon said.
 +
That prompted police to order a complete evacuation of both terminals while they investigated, but again no gunman was found and the terminals were deemed safe Gannon said.
 +
Evacuated passengers were allowed to return, but had to be rescreened by security, causing a huge bottleneck of people trying to get back in.

"It took us a couple of hours to clear those terminals," Gannon said. "It created quite a disturbance here at the airport

The false alarms made trouble for travelers on a busy Friday night, backing up street traffic and slowing down air traffic.
 +
An estimated 4,600 passengers were affected by the incidents, LAX spokeswoman Nancy Castles said.
 +
Delta and American airlines reported a combined total of 60 delayed flights, both inbound and outbound, but no cancelations.
 +
Four arriving flights were diverted to other regional airports but were expected to refuel and continue to LAX, Castles said.
 +
In the autopsy report, the Los Angeles County coroner's office said more than 40 fragments from the bullets were found in Hernandez's body.
 +
He was in full cardiac arrest when he arrived at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Doctors tried to repair damage to his heart with an emergency surgical procedure and twice used electricity to stimulate his heart before resorting to "internal cardiac massage," the report said.
 +
Exploratory surgery in Hernandez's abdomen revealed massive injuries. He was declared dead 45 minutes after arriving at the hospital and nearly two hours after the shooting.
 +
Earlier in the week, the coroner's office released preliminary findings and said Hernandez, 39, died within two to five minutes of being shot.
 +
Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter explained why the official time of death was much later than his office's finding, which was not included in the final report.
 +
Doctors were trying to "bring him back," he said.
 +
"They were doing their damndest to try to save his life. Hats off to them," Winter said. "Honestly, I would hope that they would work on anybody if they're not sure. But he was gone."

KC changes require broad support

<html>Had just one vote flipped, they noted, the recommendation would have been reversed. The push for local control would still be breathing. Well, maybe. Privately, even some supporters of local control said flipping one vote would not have been enough. They must convince state lawmakers to ignore police opposition and approve local control, they said, and the only way to do that is: find a compromise cops could support; or find a proposal so popular the opposition would be overwhelmed. Either way,Gators lose fifth straight game Gators lose fifth straight game Gators lose fifth straight game Gators lose fifth straight game Gators lose fifth straight game, local control depended on a task force vote closer to 20-5 or 19-6, not 13-12. There s an important lesson in that for supporters of other big-ticket plans now on the table, like fixed-rail transit or a new Kansas City International Airport. In Kansas City, as in most places, big changes need broad support, wholesale nfl jerseys, built over time, not one-vote margins. That lesson may be especially significant for supporters of a new KCI. A task force is also hammering away at that issue, looking at plans, hearing from experts, drafting recommendations. It s possible the group will come up with a way to pay for the project without a vote, but not likely. And as we learned this month with the health research tax,Cheap Jerseys USA, voters are pretty cranky right now. So they will have to be convinced. Some voters will oppose a new terminal no matter what, of course, and others will only support a new terminal. But a broad swath of the public 25 percent, perhaps might be talked into supporting a new facility. That discussion, though, wholesale nfl jerseys, will likely take years, not days. The only chance for a new terminal at KCI rests with an enthusiastic, grass-roots consensus on the need for such a project, assembled over many months, not on divided task forces and expensive six-week TV campaigns. That s particularly true because Southwest Airlines is deeply worried about their costs for a new terminal, as The Star s Kevin Collison reported this week. On Friday, Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders talked about a new push for taxpayer-supported, fixed-rail commuter transit. If that ever goes to voters, the same rule will apply: It won t happen unless public support for the idea is wide, deep and strong. Neither proposal currently meets those standards. For their supporters,[4] [5] [6] , as with supporters of local police control, there is much work to do.</html>

TTYM- Watch A Gronk Rap Music Video And Spencer Hawes Sing K

<html>

by More Columns

In This week s That Thing You Missed Spencer Hawes follows up a put-back dunk with a little ditty, a hockey ref is in the wrong place at the right time, the Harlem Globetrotters crash into Honduras and this video is somehow Gronk approved.

 Now That s A Rap

It has been quite an interesting couple of weeks for Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski.

On a positive note, rams nike jerseys,[7] [8] [9] , we learned his family is pitching an , and he scored a cameo in the upcoming .

Unfortunately, Grownkowski also made news after for making an Asian slur during an appearance at a local Boston Bar.

And then there s this rap video.

I m pretty sure it s meant to be serious, although it could easily be confused with a Saturday Night Live skit.

I mean, philadelphia eagles hat, what the hell is it with him riding that pi ata donkey, slapping its behind and then tearing it apart. Is that supposed to be tough?

My 6-year old daughter will shred that sucker apart in .2 seconds if you give her free reign and tell her it s stuffed with candy.

The only thing that could have made this video worse was if Rob actually did the rapping himself.

Offensive Foul

A couple of professional ballers who should ve taken the no-singing lead from Gronkowski are Philadelphia 76ers Spencer Hawes and Philadelphia Wings LAX player Kevin Crowley.

Following the Sixers come from behind shocking win against the Houston Rockets the pair were caught singing Karaoke in tandem to Toby Keith s Should ve Been A Cowboy.

Apparently it was Crowley s birthday and Hawes agreed to help him serenade the crowd.

Thank God that man can play basketball.

 Roughing the Ref

I ve talked endlessly about how I believe hockey players are the toughest athletes in professional sports.

I ve even touted the tenacity of hockey fans.

Now,Liam Hemsworth May Not Join In The Hunger Games, B Liam Hemsworth May Not Join In The Hunger Games, B Liam Hemsworth May Not Join In The Hunger Games, B Liam Hemsworth May Not Join In The Hunger Games, B Liam Hemsworth May Not Join In The Hunger Games, B, it s the hockey ref s turn.

Watch this guy get pummeled in the face and fall to the ice as he s trying to break up a fight.

Can you imagine that happening in the NFL?

I m pretty sure someone would be arrested.

Alley Oops?

Another group that s having a pretty exciting week is the Harlem Globetrotters.

First the high-flying act took a terrifying turn during an appearance in Honduras.

Bull Bullard was doing an alley-oop and nearly got crushed by the backboard when it couldn t hold his weight. The crowd screamed as the glass smashed around him. Luckily,Customized Jerseys NFL, he was ok.

More good news for the Globetrotters Corey Thunder Law broke the world record for longest basketball shot.

Law drained a 109 feet, 9 inches basket from the stands at the U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix.

Check out the amazing shot

Carrier earned 15 battle stars 0

<html>'Our ship, the USS Cowpens (CVL-25),rams nike jerseys, which was nicknamed 'The Mighty Moo,' had more battle stars and was in more major battles than any other ship in the Pacific. She earned 15 battles stars and the coveted Navy Unit Commendation. She got hit and had to go back to Pearl Harbor at one point, but she never sank. Adm. William Halsey Jr. gave her the honor of being the ship anchored right next to the Missouri,NFL Jerseys Supply, where we were at the surrender. We had sent the first planes to Tokyo before the surrender. They went to Atsugi airfield and set up the communications before the surrender,Patriots jerseys cheap, and our ship was given that honor, too. I enlisted in the Navy 1942 in the V-12 program. I was then sent to Dartmouth College,Nokia 1520 Review- A Burden i, and from there I went to midshipmen's school at Columbia. I joined the USS Cowpens in early 1945 as a fighter director officer in the CIC, which was the Combat Information Center. From June 20 to the end of World War II, Cowpens planes pounded Wake, Tokyo,Oakland University Basketball Players Arrested for Alleged R, Kure and other cities, such as Hokkaido and Honshu. The Cowpens planes then flew missions to locate the Prisoner of War camps. She was the first CV to enter Tokyo Bay and her men were the first Americans to set foot on the Japanese mainland. Cowpens also made the 'magic carpet' runs to Pearl Harbor, Guam and Okinawa for the returning vets. Our ship was part of Adm. Halsey's group, and a huge typhoon hit our ship and it rolled about 36 degrees when a wave got it. We had fires on the hangar deck because the planes were skidding around. We had fires to put out. I wasn't on the ship at that time, fortunately. I wasn't involved in any danger at all during my time in World War II. My day-to-day routine was in the information center. Even if you didn't have any enemy planes coming in, you were always talking to your own planes. You kept track of them on the radar. You'd be looking for bogeys, enemies. A lieutenant commander would tell me what to do. The most dangerous thing that happened to me, even during combat, was that I had a chief who had a monkey aboard, and that monkey would try to bite me. That was about it. I was pretty lucky."
