Hello Kitty is a fantastic character for kids around the world. Especially popular among girls of all ages now and days. Hello Kitty was originally founded in Japan in 1974, her logo was placed on a coin purse that was priced very affordable. Her appeal caught on quick in Japan and in 1976 she was introduced to USA and in the 1980's and 1990's the rest of the world.

Yuko Shimizu was the original creator of Hello Kitty, now she is living in Japan at age 67. When she first created Hello Kitty and her brand she never thought it would become this big. After her first character creation years later she went on to create many other famous Sanrio characters such as Keroppi, Charmmy Kitty, Badte-maru and many more.

Now the characters have grown to over 30 fun loving, cuties that have been featured on everything from stickers, shoes, clothing, purses, art to more bigger things like shops, air planes, cars, buses and even older woman are getting tattoo's of these lovely characters. Grown from a small idea to a 5 billion dollar a year business that makes girls around smile and say "That is so cute, I just love her". Part of her charm is being able to not only look at her on a logo but also to interact with her.
