== Louisville hires Petrino again as football coach ==
 +
 +
<html>Upon returning Thursday to the Cardinals after seven years, Petrino promised his second stint would be permanent because this was always his destination even with collegiate stops at Arkansas and Western Kentucky and a 13-game foray with the NFL's Atlanta Falcons.
 +
Petrino returns to a Louisville program that has changed a lot since he left, one that's gearing up to join the Atlantic Coast Conference next season with a home game against newly crowned champion Florida State. The coach insisted that he's a changed person as well as he enters the next and hopefully final stop in his career.
 +
"It's great to be back home," Petrino said during a sometimes-emotional news conference. "It's really unbelievable to get the opportunity to come back here. For (wife) Becky, and (children) Nick and Bobby and Katie, this is our home and we're excited to be able to come back."
 +
Petrino coached Western Kentucky to an 8-4 record last season in his only year with the team. He led the Cardinals to a 41-9 mark from 2003-06 including an Orange Bowl victory his final season.
 +
He succeeds Charlie Strong,[http://www.jerseys-ns.org/ <b>Wholesale Frank Gore Jersey</b>], who left last weekend after four years to accept the Texas job. Petrino inherits a team coming off a 12-1 finish and 23-3 the past two seasons with two bowl wins.
 +
Petrino received a seven-year contract with a base annual salary of $3.5 million. It includes a $10 million buyout for leaving that decreases after four years.
 +
But the well-traveled coach said that will not be necessary because this is his "destination job."
 +
Petrino is 83-30 as a college coach. His record includes a 34-17 mark at Arkansas that ended amid scandal in April 2012. He came to the Razorbacks after a 3-10 season in 2007 with the Falcons that ended with the coach announcing his departure in letters left at the players' lockers.
 +
"I made mistakes,[http://www.jerseys-ns.org/ <b>Cheap Giants T-Shirts</b>],[http://dq-love.com/dq10/bbs/board.cgi Steve Irwin's Daughter, Bindi], both professionally and personally, and that's something I'm not going to do again," Petrino said. "The first mistake was leaving Louisville, and I'm hoping that the fans and everybody will forgive me. I'm more energized,[http://www.jerseys-ns.org/ <b>Vernon Davis #85 Jersey</b>], more excited than I've ever been."
 +
Petrino had been mentioned for the Louisville job almost from the moment Strong left for the Longhorns, but the coach said he became aware of the opening only after Cardinals athletic director Tom Jurich approached WKU athletic director Todd Stewart for permission to interview him.
 +
Jurich said he was angry at Petrino early in the Tuesday interview because of the coach's behavior in his previous Louisville stint,[http://thinkfarm.sinnwerkstatt.com/index.php?title=Benutzer:Pkcwobvh3#UFC_167_.27St._Pierre_vs._Hendricks.27_results-_Sooo...About_las UFC 167 'St. Pierre vs. Hendricks' results- Sooo...About las], one that included player disciplinary issues. The AD also said he was mad at Petrino for leaving after the Orange Bowl win for the pros, though he acknowledged the coach was honest about his interest in the job.
 +
On Sunday, Jurich said he and Petrino had previously resolved their differences. But he wanted to see if the coach had truly changed as he has professed since Arkansas fired him for "a pattern of misleading behavior" following a motorcycle accident in which he revealed his mistress was a passenger.
 +
Jurich came away convinced he was getting a different man from the one who left, reinforcing his belief that Petrino was the right fit for the Cardinals.
 +
"If it was the same Bobby that was here 10 years ago, I wasn't interested," said Jurich, adding that he kept coming back to Petrino as he went through a list of seven finalists. "He is definitely a changed person."
 +
While Petrino's critics have been skeptical about his commitment, public sentiment for his hiring has been mostly favorable on sports talk radio, online polls and social media.
 +
Petrino has been contrite since the embarrassing matter and reiterated Thursday he has been humbled by his experiences. Asked how he would quell skepticism, the coach said, "the thing you do is just show (it). I have a sign in the locker room that says it's a 'show-me' world."
 +
Petrino is already off and running on his staff. Persons familiar with the situation tell The Associated Press that UAB coach Garrick McGee is stepping down and has agreed to become Petrino's offensive coordinator, while Alabama administrative assistant Kevin Steele will become defensive coordinator.
 +
The new Cardinals coach added that he will retain defensive line coach Clint Hurtt, penalized in October by the NCAA for violations committed as a Miami (Fla.) assistant.
 +
Louisville's hiring of the offense-minded Petrino excited Cardinals players, such as leading rusher Dominique Brown, because of the potential of maintaining a high-powered unit Strong left behind. He acknowledged there were questions about his commitment but said those doubts disappeared after the coach met with players.
 +
"There were a couple of on the fence, but now all the players are convinced," Brown said. "We knew what we had while he was here, a top-10 offense. He had a good track record while he was here. I knew he liked to use big backs like Michael Bush. I was kind of worried, but now we are all convinced."
 +
Petrino said he was excited to get started with his second go-round with Louisville.
 +
"It's certainly a privilege to see how everything has moved, and now we're going into the ACC," he said. "It's a great challenge to see the schedule we have coming up, and I can't wait to play that schedule."</html>

== Developer Pat Neal plans The Woods subdivision in rural east ==
 +
 +
<html>They also contend that the presence of cars and people could interfere with wildlife migrating through the property to several nearby nature preserves.
 +
Yet others welcome the proposed The Woods at Venice as an asset for the still-developing area east of Interstate 75, saying they expect it to be a high-quality development.
 +
Neal Communities' Border Road Investments acquired three heavily wooded sites comprising 151 acres last year for more than $4 million. Neal proposes a subdivision of single-family homes on the property at the northwest corner of Jackson Road and Border Road, which prior owners annexed into the city in 2007.
 +
On Tuesday, the Venice Planning Commission conducted a "pre-hearing conference" with Neal to discuss his plans. A public hearing at which the advisory board will make a recommendation to the City Council will be conducted later.
 +
Jeff Boone,[http://maibaumclub-brobergen.de/index.php?title=Benutzer:Npilrnju0#Taylor_Swift_Is_A_Mesmerizing_Masterpiece_At_The_Winter_Whit Taylor Swift Is A Mesmerizing Masterpiece At The Winter Whit], attorney for Neal, said his client may continue to refine the subdivision plan before formally submitting it.
 +
The site still has county zoning for estate-size, multiple-acre lots. Many homeowners in the area have horses and livestock.
 +
Neal Communities wants the city to rezone its newly acquired property for a density of up to two homes per acre.
 +
Although no one from the public appeared at the meeting to voice objections, planning commissioners noted that residents are emailing city officials complaints about the requested density.
 +
"The area is one of the few remaining wilderness lands in Venice," wrote Bob Branson, president of Friends of the Carlton Preserve. "...These areas are home to so much wildlife."
 +
Branson noted that the site is west of several county-owned nature preserves: the 24,565-acre T. Mabry Carlton Memorial Preserve, the 174-acre Sleeping Turtles Preserve North, the 213-acre Sleeping Turtles Preserve South and the 6,439-acre Deer Prairie Creek Preserve.
 +
According to the county,[http://www.jerseys-ns.org/ <b>Justin Tuck Jersey</b>], those preserves are home to gopher tortoises, wild turkeys, otters, scrub jays and other wildlife. A Florida panther was documented there in 2010.
 +
The site is also south of the city-owned, 10-acre Venice Myakka River Park at Laurel Road and Jackson Road.
 +
"The reason many people live out here is for the open land and wildlife," Walter Rossmann,[http://www.jerseys-ns.org/ <b>Wholesale Frank Gore Jersey</b>], who lives off Border Road, wrote. "The rezoning would have a major impact on the wildlife corridor that is needed for this area as well as surrounding areas."
 +
Neal and his representatives counter that the property is within a larger area designated by the city and Sarasota County years ago as appropriate for annexations and new subdivisions.
 +
They contend wildlife does not migrate through the low-lying, typically wet area, where Neal will have to protect designated wetlands and build atop elevated lots.
 +
"This is not Oscar Scherer State Park,[http://www.semturn.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=2483381 Deadline approaches for Gingerbread Festival_0]," Boone said.
 +
Regardless, "regulations to protect endangered species... are in place and we are going to be bound by them," Boone said.
 +
Planning Commission Chairman Barry Snyder said the city could require an ecological survey during the site plan approval stage.
 +
A resident of Venetian Golf and River Club, which is on Laurel Road north of the site, attended the meeting but declined to speak.
 +
Afterward, he declined to give his name but said Neal presented his plans to that community's board,[http://www.jerseys-ns.org/ <b>Wholesale 49ers Jerseys</b>], which gave him a favorable reception.
 +
"This is our first experience with Neal," the resident said. "I think he's a really good builder. I think he'll be good for north Venice."
 +
In other action, the Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of a four-unit condominium that Gary Roberts wants to build on a vacant lot at 708 W. Venice Ave. The city initially approved the project in 2007 but that approval has expired.</html>

<html>Franklin, 41,[http://koroom.net/cgi-bin/voxjam/easyjob.cgi NFL Week 12 betting odds, lin],[http://www.jerseys-ns.org/ <b>San Francisco 49ers Jersey</b>], who led Vanderbilt to bowls in all three of his seasons there, replaces Bill O'Brien, who left the Nittany Lions after two years to coach the NFL's Houston Texans. Penn State made the announcement Saturday,[http://www.jerseys-ns.org/ <b>Kyle Williams Jersey</b>], after the school's compensation committee met to finalize the contract.
 +
That committee approved the hiring by a 6-0 vote Saturday morning.
 +
Franklin won 24 games with the Commodores and is a Pennsylvania native with strong ties in-state. Penn State officials met with him this week in Florida. He will be asked to build off a foundation that O'Brien set amid scandal. Despite a lack of scholarships, a bowl ban and player defections from the late Joe Paterno's roster,[http://wiki.vasegurt.com/index.php?title=Special:UserLogin&type=signup&returnto=Main_Page/wiki/User:Fvxmiibv6#DeMarcus_Cousins_Wouldn.E2.80.99t_Let_Isaiah_Thomas_Shake_Hand DeMarcus Cousins Wouldn’t Let Isaiah Thomas Shake Hand], O'Brien led the Nittany Lions to two winning seasons (8-4, 7-5) while restoring some tempered enthusiasm in Happy Valley.
 +
That torch has now been passed to Franklin, who played at Division III East Stroudsburg (Pa.). He set seven school records as a senior, and also has coached at Washington State, Idaho State,[http://www.jerseys-ns.org/ <b>Vernon Davis #85 Jersey</b>], Kansas State and Maryland. <html>/ HOMEFIELD: Two area colleges that dominate at home
 +
January 11, 2014 by  The RCC football team has celebrated 24 straight home victories. (file photo)
 +
 +
As part of today s story package on teams that enjoy a homefield advantage, we selected a couple of area colleges that are tough on visiting opponents. We narrowed it down to just two, but it s a pretty good two.

Riverside City College<br>
 +
Wheelock Field<br>
 +
By the numbers: 24-0 – The rise of the RCC football program has been well document since the arrival of head coach Tom Craft four years ago. Not only have the Tigers won – three bowl wins and a state playoff berth in four seasons – they’ve been dominant at home. RCC has won all 24 games at Wheelock Field over the past four seasons. The average score during the span has been 42-22, with most of the opponents’ scoring coming in second-half blowouts.<br>
 +
Why it’s the best: Everyone loves a winner, so the games are typically standing room only. From the smell of the garlic pasta wafting through the air, to the booming sounds of the marching band and the seemingly endless multitude of cheerleaders, the atmosphere at Wheelock is one of the best in Southern California. Visiting teams may hate playing at RCC, but judging by social media, even opposing fans enjoy and respect the experience. Did we mention the pasta?

By the numbers: 703 – Hall of Fame coach John Chambers didn’t win all of those games in MSJC’s tiny gym, but the coach with the larger-than-life persona and cowboy boots,[http://www.jerseys-ns.org/ <b>Nike Saints Jersey</b>], knew how to put on a show. The small-town and small-school vibe is enhanced by an eclectic crowd of rowdy students, combined with local residents enjoying their retirement years, and even Code Red, fans from a Christian drug and alcohol rehab group.<br>
 +
Why it’s the best: Unofficially dubbed the Eagles Nest,[http://www.jerseys-ns.org/ <b>Orleans Saints Jersey</b>],[http://freshgameonline.com/activity/p/160743/ While Tamba Hali is likely to play Sunday for Chiefs, news on Justin Houston is unclear], the gym is small, dark and, let’s be honest, kind of dingy looking. It has the feel of one of those old-time rural Midwestern gyms featured in Hoosiers. Or maybe it just feels that way to an outsider. The folks at MSJC prefer to look at their little piece of heaven as basketball with atmosphere. It’s not old, it’s old-school. And it has a definite advantage for the home team. Opposing coaches have been known to squabble with refs,[http://www.jerseys-ns.org/ <b>Jason Pierre-Paul #90 Jersey</b>],[http://vanislander.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=131423 KC police ID man found shot to death on sidewalk], who obviously are blinded by the atmosphere. And it’s not just the men’s team enjoying the friendly confines. MSJC teams have combined to win six conference titles since 2007 and the women’s team reached the state championship game last year after finishing 12-0 at home.

KC changes require broad support

<html>Had just one vote flipped, they noted, the recommendation would have been reversed. The push for local control would still be breathing. Well, maybe. Privately, even some supporters of local control said flipping one vote would not have been enough. They must convince state lawmakers to ignore police opposition and approve local control, they said, and the only way to do that is: find a compromise cops could support; or find a proposal so popular the opposition would be overwhelmed. Either way,Gators lose fifth straight game Gators lose fifth straight game Gators lose fifth straight game Gators lose fifth straight game Gators lose fifth straight game, local control depended on a task force vote closer to 20-5 or 19-6, not 13-12. There s an important lesson in that for supporters of other big-ticket plans now on the table, like fixed-rail transit or a new Kansas City International Airport. In Kansas City, as in most places, big changes need broad support, wholesale nfl jerseys, built over time, not one-vote margins. That lesson may be especially significant for supporters of a new KCI. A task force is also hammering away at that issue, looking at plans, hearing from experts, drafting recommendations. It s possible the group will come up with a way to pay for the project without a vote, but not likely. And as we learned this month with the health research tax,Cheap Jerseys USA, voters are pretty cranky right now. So they will have to be convinced. Some voters will oppose a new terminal no matter what, of course, and others will only support a new terminal. But a broad swath of the public 25 percent, perhaps might be talked into supporting a new facility. That discussion, though, wholesale nfl jerseys, will likely take years, not days. The only chance for a new terminal at KCI rests with an enthusiastic, grass-roots consensus on the need for such a project, assembled over many months, not on divided task forces and expensive six-week TV campaigns. That s particularly true because Southwest Airlines is deeply worried about their costs for a new terminal, as The Star s Kevin Collison reported this week. On Friday, Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders talked about a new push for taxpayer-supported, fixed-rail commuter transit. If that ever goes to voters, the same rule will apply: It won t happen unless public support for the idea is wide, deep and strong. Neither proposal currently meets those standards. For their supporters,[4] [5] [6] , as with supporters of local police control, there is much work to do.</html>

TTYM- Watch A Gronk Rap Music Video And Spencer Hawes Sing K

<html>

by More Columns

In This week s That Thing You Missed Spencer Hawes follows up a put-back dunk with a little ditty, a hockey ref is in the wrong place at the right time, the Harlem Globetrotters crash into Honduras and this video is somehow Gronk approved.

 Now That s A Rap

It has been quite an interesting couple of weeks for Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski.

On a positive note, rams nike jerseys,[7] [8] [9] , we learned his family is pitching an , and he scored a cameo in the upcoming .

Unfortunately, Grownkowski also made news after for making an Asian slur during an appearance at a local Boston Bar.

And then there s this rap video.

I m pretty sure it s meant to be serious, although it could easily be confused with a Saturday Night Live skit.

I mean, philadelphia eagles hat, what the hell is it with him riding that pi ata donkey, slapping its behind and then tearing it apart. Is that supposed to be tough?

My 6-year old daughter will shred that sucker apart in .2 seconds if you give her free reign and tell her it s stuffed with candy.

The only thing that could have made this video worse was if Rob actually did the rapping himself.

Offensive Foul

A couple of professional ballers who should ve taken the no-singing lead from Gronkowski are Philadelphia 76ers Spencer Hawes and Philadelphia Wings LAX player Kevin Crowley.

Following the Sixers come from behind shocking win against the Houston Rockets the pair were caught singing Karaoke in tandem to Toby Keith s Should ve Been A Cowboy.

Apparently it was Crowley s birthday and Hawes agreed to help him serenade the crowd.

Thank God that man can play basketball.

 Roughing the Ref

I ve talked endlessly about how I believe hockey players are the toughest athletes in professional sports.

I ve even touted the tenacity of hockey fans.

Now,Liam Hemsworth May Not Join In The Hunger Games, B Liam Hemsworth May Not Join In The Hunger Games, B Liam Hemsworth May Not Join In The Hunger Games, B Liam Hemsworth May Not Join In The Hunger Games, B Liam Hemsworth May Not Join In The Hunger Games, B, it s the hockey ref s turn.

Watch this guy get pummeled in the face and fall to the ice as he s trying to break up a fight.

Can you imagine that happening in the NFL?

I m pretty sure someone would be arrested.

Alley Oops?

Another group that s having a pretty exciting week is the Harlem Globetrotters.

First the high-flying act took a terrifying turn during an appearance in Honduras.

Bull Bullard was doing an alley-oop and nearly got crushed by the backboard when it couldn t hold his weight. The crowd screamed as the glass smashed around him. Luckily,Customized Jerseys NFL, he was ok.

More good news for the Globetrotters Corey Thunder Law broke the world record for longest basketball shot.

Law drained a 109 feet, 9 inches basket from the stands at the U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix.

Check out the amazing shot

I wasn't on the ship at that time, fortunately. I wasn't involved in any danger at all during my time in World War II. My day-to-day routine was in the information center. Even if you didn't have any enemy planes coming in, you were always talking to your own planes. You kept track of them on the radar. You'd be looking for bogeys, enemies. A lieutenant commander would tell me what to do. The most dangerous thing that happened to me, even during combat, was that I had a chief who had a monkey aboard, and that monkey would try to bite me. That was about it. I was pretty lucky." Auto crash, gun fears bring chaotic night to LAX

<html>Some 2,000 people were evacuated from two terminals, hundreds more were affected, chiefs jersey, dozens of flights were delayed, and a few were diverted Friday night as the string of incidents unfolded,2014 World Cup Draw- There Wo, airport officials said. Some travelers were nervous and police were on high alert at the airport after the Nov. 1 shooting attack. "With what recently just occurred here, everybody's still a little bit on edge," Guardado said. Hours earlier, an autopsy report on the death of Transportation Security Administration officer Gerardo Hernandez was released, broncos new jerseys, showing he was shot 12 times with bullets grazing his heart and piercing his bladder and intestines. The problems started Friday evening when a woman driving on the airport's arrivals loop at had a medical emergency and lost control of her SUV, hitting another woman who was walking on a sidewalk before slamming into a parking garage across the roadway from Terminal 5, Los Angeles police Sgt. Mark Guardado said. Sounds from the crash spurred reports of gunfire among the passengers inside the terminal, many of whom fled the building, airport police Chief Patrick Gannon said. "It was determined relatively quickly that there was not a shooting," Gannon said. Both women in the crash were injured, the pedestrian seriously, Guardado told KTTV-TV. Details on women's conditions were not immediately available. In neighboring Terminal 4, airport police received an anonymous call just after the crash reporting a gunman at a specific gate, Gannon said. That prompted police to order a complete evacuation of both terminals while they investigated, but again no gunman was found and the terminals were deemed safe Gannon said. Evacuated passengers were allowed to return, but had to be rescreened by security, causing a huge bottleneck of people trying to get back in. "It took us a couple of hours to clear those terminals," Gannon said. "It created quite a disturbance here at the airport The false alarms made trouble for travelers on a busy Friday night, backing up street traffic and slowing down air traffic. An estimated 4,600 passengers were affected by the incidents, LAX spokeswoman Nancy Castles said. Delta and American airlines reported a combined total of 60 delayed flights, both inbound and outbound, but no cancelations. Four arriving flights were diverted to other regional airports but were expected to refuel and continue to LAX, Castles said. In the autopsy report, the Los Angeles County coroner's office said more than 40 fragments from the bullets were found in Hernandez's body. He was in full cardiac arrest when he arrived at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Doctors tried to repair damage to his heart with an emergency surgical procedure and twice used electricity to stimulate his heart before resorting to "internal cardiac massage," the report said. Exploratory surgery in Hernandez's abdomen revealed massive injuries. He was declared dead 45 minutes after arriving at the hospital and nearly two hours after the shooting. Earlier in the week, the coroner's office released preliminary findings and said Hernandez, 39, died within two to five minutes of being shot. Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter explained why the official time of death was much later than his office's finding, which was not included in the final report. Doctors were trying to "bring him back," he said. "They were doing their damndest to try to save his life. Hats off to them," Winter said. "Honestly, I would hope that they would work on anybody if they're not sure. But he was gone." Rob Stone, a Jack of All Trades at Fox Sports 1

<html>It was a risk,Polk County city wants vultures to BUZZ OFF!, make no doubt about it, but it was a risk worth taking. In January 2012 Rob Stone left ESPN his employer for nearly two decades and took the plunge, leaving the Worldwide Leader for the relative unknown of Fox Sports to anchor its soccer coverage on the now defunct Fox Soccer Channel.

Nearly two years later, the move appears to have paid off for Stone in spades. In that time Fox launched its own 24-hour network, Fox Sports 1, and Stone s versatility has him in the middle of the coverage, hosting soccer, college football and now college basketball programming on the network.

It was a slight gamble, but a calculated one, Stone said earlier this month by phone from the Fox studios in Hollywood. I needed to change things for my family, work-wise. Fox came in at the right time and said the right things and I knew they were growing and that soccer would be a priority no matter what they did in the grand scheme of things. To enter Fox when I did, the timing was perfect as they entered their mammoth growth, they needed people to fill in massive holes and these are holes I love to play in.

That latest hole is college basketball. Fox s college basketball slate is anchored by the reconfigured Big East and Stone will host the network s studio coverage alongside former Providence standout Austin Croshere.

The?Big East was a big part of my college hoops upbringing,Eva Longoria Has A New Hot Boyfriend! Meet Jose Antonio Baston!, so to be associated with it now is great, said Stone, a Connecticut native. Its interesting how things come full circle.

Nearly 30 years earlier, ESPN helped build its empire around the Big East in the early 1980s. The now-legendary rough-and-tumble Big East matchups on Monday night featuring Patrick Ewing s Georgetown and Chris Mullin s St. John s squads quickly became destination television. Will the Big East have the same sort of payoff for Fox? Time will tell. The cable sports landscape in 2013 is much more crowded than it was in 1983 and there s certainly no shortage of college hoops on television. A Butler/Creighton matchup doesn t exactly hold the same cache that Syracuse/Georgetown once did.

One ace Fox does have up its sleeve is venerable broadcaster Bill Raftery, who ll team with ?calling the Big East action.

Meeting Raft was on my bucket list, Stone said. I was a fan of his since I was a little punk dribbling the ball in my driveway in Connecticut. I just wanted to hug him and yell Onions! He might go down as one of the best, if not the best hire Fox has made. He brings immediate credibility and conversation to our network.

Credibility is something Fox is aiming to build since it went on the air in mid-August. On Saturday mornings it has tried to go head-to-head with ESPN s College GameDay juggernaut. Stone, who hosts college football studio programming on Thursday and Saturday nights, broncos new jerseys, worked on GameDay in its early stages, thinks it will take some time to carve out its own niche as GameDay draws close to for Fox College Saturday, hosted by .

I know what power theyve built, said Stone, who was part of the first GameDay broadcast from a remote location. You cant just make a carbon copy, youll look bad.

The place Stone s presence in the studio has been seen the most on Fox is during it s soccer coverage. Although Fox lost its rights to the Premier League to NBC earlier this year, it still has Champions League rights and acquired the German Bundesliga starting in 2015 the same year it will broadcast the Women s World Cup from Canada. Fox also snared the rights to the 2018 and 2022 men s World Cups away from ESPN.

It might be five years on the horizon, philadelphia eagles hat, but Stone says Fox is already in World Cup mode.

We talk about it all the time, he said. Im not kidding. Im looking forward to Canada. Thats barely a year away in 2015. There are a ton of plans going on behind the scenes. Were certainly gearing up for that. Were proud and honored to take the baton from ESPN.

Losing the Premier League rights did put a slight damper on one of Stone s trademark catchphrases, screaming The American! whenever Clint Dempsey did something positive while he was playing at Fulham. As it stands, Jermaine Jones and are the only Americans in the Champions League who get significant playing time. The catchphrase was rife for parody in the Twitter grist mill.

I think the majority (of viewers) like it. Its the ones that dont who keep yelling at you over and over, he said. It was something that morphed. It was an organic phrase. Im very much a patriot. I love to see Americans do well overseas. Somehow saying the American turned into yelling THE AMERICAN on Saturday mornings.

It might sound a little bit like pom-pom waving, but Stone doesn t mind. He s an?unabashed homer for U.S. Soccer, and will keep using the phrase when he can, up to and including pep rallies for the American Outlaws supporter s group ahead of World Cup qualifiers.

Stone, like many American soccer observers, is shocked to see the strides the sport has taken in the last decade.

I used to have NFL sheets. It was the best. For my sons eighth birthday I bought him an MLS blanket with every logo and he loved it, he said. Halloween at my sons parade around his school, it was 20-30s kids dressing up as soccer players. A Beckham. A Ronaldo. My son went as Pele.?There were more soccer players dressed up for Halloween than football players.

One sport associated with Stone that he s unable to call while at Fox is bowling. At ESPN he became known for his call of Hambone on the lanes. He says he misses bowling and the opportunity it allowed him to stretch is wings.

I like the change of pace, panthers jersey, Stone said. You dont grow stagnant covering one league. You keep your eyes on so many factors in so many sporting landscapes.

With Fox Sports 1 still well within its infant stages, don t expect Stone or his colleagues to grow stagnant any time soon.

Where I am right now at Fox, if I could have scripted what I would be doing since making the move to FOX, this would be it, he said. Selfishly Im laughing right now. I get to watch college football on Thursday, the best soccer, college hoops. Dont tell my bosses how good I have it now. ?Give me some variety, give me some spices and maybe Ill cook up something good.

Elvin Hayes was no one

<html>On Jan. 29,nfl ravens jerseys, 1968,3DS Has Now Officially Sold More Units Than The Nintendo 64, Houston defeated UCLA 71-69 before 52,693 in the Astrodome. Never had such a crowd assembled for college basketball, and the Cougars victory snapped the Bruins 47-game winning streak. Hayes was spectacular, with 39 points and 15 rebounds while helping hold UCLA All-American Lew Alcindor (later known as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) to 15 points.

You know, I could name games where I played much better, said Hayes, who was part of Sunday s National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony at The Midland as a member of the founding class.

Indeed, Hayes averaged 36.8 points and 18.9 rebounds as a senior in 1968. He topped 50 points on a few occasions and grabbed 37 rebounds in one game.

But it s all right, Hayes said. After that UCLA game, cheap nba basketball jerseys, I was known more in the public. It helped people know who I was.

Hayes was a cornerstone for some of the great college teams in the 1960s. The Cougars weren t part of the Southwest Conference then, but heading east from Houston,Unemployment rate drops to 6., schools across the South were not integrated. Sarasota business incubator HuB to accept bitcoin virtual cu

<html>The business incubator in Sarasota will become the first vendor in Southwest Florida and it says the first real estate landlord in the state to officially accept a controversial new digital currency that is gaining popularity in other major markets. The HuB, and many of the 50-plus companies that call the downtown building home, now accept bitcoin as if it were cold, hard cash. They hope to set a trend for other businesses throughout the area to more widely accept the new method of payment.

We're still in the early stages, but we see the potential, so we're working to become one of the early merchants, with the hope that more will follow, said Rich Swier Jr., founder of the HuB. We're accepting it as cash.

Bitcoin is a virtual peer-to-peer form of currency that is purchased and traded online. Unlike most forms of money now used including the U.S. dollar bitcoin is not controlled by one single government,Two years after KC went to e, corporation or centralized bank. Consumers cannot hold it, or tuck it away in their wallet because it does not physically exist. But that does not mean it is not real or valuable. Right now, the price tag for 1 bitcoin on most Internet exchange websites is about $739. The currency has exploded in popularity across the world as more tech-savvy consumers make their purchases on the Internet where bitcoin is believed to be secure, cheap nba basketball jerseys, anonymous and widely accepted. It has also has been controversial. The currency was scrutinized after several national media outlets learned of an online market where consumers could use bitcoins to buy heroin, LSD and other illegal drugs. Some of the exchange sites that sell bitcoins have also reportedly been hacked and looted. Still, two recent Congressional hearings deemed the new currency to be perfectly legal. Bitcoin ATMs are even being installed in some major cities in Canada. Swier said he likes that Bitcoin has been created and sustained by the masses, while also keeping consistent with the digital and innovative nature of the HuB. The HuB's core operations will begin to accept bitcoins from tenants immediately. Many of the entrepreneurs and local start-ups operating inside the building's walls are expected to soon follow if they have not already. Even the coffee shop in the lobby will accept the digital currency for its lattes and muffins.

We believe it's a great way to expand our business to millions of people who transact with bitcoins online, Swier said. We see this as a competitive advantage. Currently, it's not being accepted by a lot of people, but there are a lot of different bubbles popping around.

Software entrepreneur Jesse Biter, who owns the HuB building and runs his car dealership supply business there, philadelphia eagles hat, also sees Bitcoin as an opportunity. Biter said it is probably too premature to roll out bitcoins in the automotive industry. But he does not rule out the idea in the future.

Jhonny Peralta- St. Louis Cardinals sign shortstop to huge c

<html>Jhonny Peralta: St. Louis Cardinals sign shortstop to huge contract November 24,NEW- Five sought in Ellenton home invasion, 2013 By The St. Louis Cardinals fell in the World Series to the Boston Red Sox and have not been shy about remaking their roster so far this offseason. That continued on Sunday to a monster contract.

The Cardinals gave the 31-year-old a four-year, $53 million deal that will see him likely taking over for Pete Kozma, whose anemic offense and spotty defense cost the team in the postseason. Peralta hit .303 with 11 home runs and 55 RBIs,nfl saints jerseys, while also posting an OPS of .815 and a WAR of 3.3 in 2013.

Where this all gets hazy is the fact that Peralta was suspended for 50 games last season as a result of Major League Baseball s investigation into the Biogenesis case involving performance-enhancing drugs. He came back to the Detroit Tigers in late September and also played for the team in the postseason.

There will be plenty of negative reactions to the Peralta signing, since he essentially cheated and it resulted in a big raise over what he was previously making.

The Cardinals traded third baseman David Freese to the Los Angeles Angels for outfielder Peter Bourjos a few days ago, philadelphia eagles hat,Manatee County to hold second, and had cut $45 million off their payroll before signing Peralta.

Over his 11-year career, Peralta is a two-time All-Star with a .268 career batting average,Cheap Jerseys USA, 156 home runs and 698 RBIs.

Fruitville Road site likely to become business park

<html>Sarasota County commissioners chose to move forward with Benderson Development Company's proposal Tuesday,Kansas State loses 90,Customized Jerseys NFL, and ruled out a plan from GoodSports Enterprises Global to build a fieldhouse, nba jerseys online, hotel and waterpark on the land at Coburn and Fruitville roads. They were not satisfied that Sarasota-based GoodSports could deliver on its proposal and remained uncomfortable with its request to lease the land for $1 a year for 50 years. "I wasn't interested in unique; I was interested in a stable economic driver," Commissioner Christine Robinson said. "The track record Benderson has had brings a lot of relief to me." Officials emphasized the property's importance to the overall Fruitville Initiative a county effort to coordinate smart growth in the area, which is designated as a "major employment center." Commissioner Nora Patterson said she envisioned the site as a catalyst that would spur other development because others would want to be near it. But, she said she worries that instead of attracting others, Benderson Development's plan could be "the big bear that no one wants to compete with." The Benderson proposal fits with the county's Fruitville Initiative, said Larry Fineberg, chiefs jersey, an executive with the Manatee County-based company. It will fill a need in north Sarasota County and bring "cutting edge" manufacturing jobs here, he said. "We really are missing out on a lot of opportunities for companies coming into the region," Fineberg said. Patterson noted the company's plan drawing resembles "army barracks," but Fineberg said the final product will not be a "big ugly building" and would fit with other uses in the area. The commissioners voted 3-2, with Patterson and Charles Hines dissenting, to negotiate with Benderson on the price and aspects such as stormwater management and flood plain compensation. The company initially offered to buy the property for $2.5 million well under the parcel's $4.1 to $4.6 million appraised value. Benderson said it would handle stormwater needs on site, but could not specify the savings for the county. "If we don't ultimately like what comes out of the negotiations, we get to say no," Robinson said. With the parcel next to the Celery Fields, environmentalists are watching the county's next steps closely. After the meeting, members of the Sarasota Audubon Society talked with Fineberg about ways to address their concerns. The group is protecting the habitat and building a nature center at the Celery Fields, and any neighboring use needs proper buffers and lighting that will not disturb owls and migrating birds, Jeanne Dubi, president of the society,The perils of revenge porn, said. While she would have preferred a university research center or environmentally friendly hotel, Dubi said the manufacturing facility is not as bad as the sports complex because it is less likely to operate on weekends.</html>

Lenika Cruz's Top Five Albums of 2013

<html>Katie Crutchfield (aka Waxahatchee) was going to name her second album Blue before realizing Joni Mitchell had the same idea more than forty years ago. Instead, she called it Cerulean Salt, but it bears the same kind of heartbreakingly observant lyrics Mitchell was known for, rendered sage-sounding (despite Crutchfield's youth) by her old-soul voice. Crutchfield's guitar work vacillates between gritty ("Coast to Coast" and "Misery Over Dispute") and plaintively tender ("Tangled Envisioning"), but the magic of her songwriting lies in its apparent effortlessness. Like her more lo-fi debut American Weekend,Youth Football Jerseys, Crutchfield's sophomore record dwells primarily in the realm of meditation; the songs play like cruelly insightful diary entries on relationships,Customized Jerseys NFL,CagePotato PSA- Dear MMA Medi, regret, childhood memories, growing pains, and lost innocence. Vampire Weekend, Modern Vampires of the City

Modern Vampires of the City is a nearly flawless pop concept album. On its third record, Vampire Weekend mulls over mortality with verve and vulnerability, alluding to everyone from Henry Hudson to Yahweh, Outkast, and the Rolling Stones. Drawing from a seemingly endless reservoir of sonic and literary inspiration, the band channels its existential misgivings through gleaming chamber pop, a hint of surf-rock/punk, and world-weary, nostalgia-laden ballads. The standouts (which both feature weird, pitch-shifted vocals): "Step," a slowed-down, pop interpolation of an obscure track by Oakland hip-hop group Souls of Mischief, complete with harpsichords and a nod to both Berkeley and Alameda; and "Ya Hey," a depressing yet perversely catchy meditation on the nature of God, with echoey Latin chanting and martial drumming. To listeners who couldn't get down with the patent quirkiness of Vampire Weekend's last two albums, Modern Vampires is for you. (XL)

My Bloody Valentine, m b v

Few, if any, alternative rock albums are more perfect than My Bloody Valentine's 1991 masterpiece Loveless and that necessarily includes its long-awaited (and only) follow-up album, m b v. But m b v is a stunning bit of shoegaze in its own right. While it boasts few moments as raucous as "Only Shallow" or as heartbreakingly pure as "Sometimes," which both appeared on Loveless, it signals a more mature, at-ease My Bloody Valentine, willing to get experimental with Stereolab-esque synths and organ-filled interludes ("is this and yes"), dreamy funk ("new you"), and hypnotically repetitive noise blitzes ("nothing is"). The "classics" are there, too, among them: the closer, "wonder 2," which is gloriously jangly with its propeller-whip sound effects and indecipherable structure; and "only tomorrow," the closest thing the album has to a radio-friendly song, with Bilinda Butcher's ghostly, barely there vocals and memorably grimy guitar riffs. (self-released)

Danny Brown, Old

The title of Danny Brown's 2011 debut XXX was partly an allusion to the rapper recently having turned thirty. Two years later, he's Old, as the name of his sophomore record suggests. At 32, Brown is Old Danny Brown (or ODB, a nod to his kindred spirit formerly in Wu-Tang Clan), teetering on the outskirts of the rap game orbit with some dip tucked in his lip dazed by his immense and enviable success, yet haunted by his past. Now I'm trapped in a trap and the devil ain't forgetting, Brown raps on "25 Bucks," which features electronic duo Purity Ring. There are the dope fiends the proverbial gremlins of his hometown of Detroit getting "rocked in the dome," lighting rocks off the stove. While Side A of the album is dedicated to more straightforward rap and the tending of psychic wounds, Side B offers maximalist club-banger relief, with noxious synths, frantic drum machines, and yelping hype men ("Dip," "Smokin and Drinkin," "Handstand") a welcome sign that Brown is still owning his surreal and diabolical sense of humor. (Fool's Gold)

Phosphorescent,MENIFEE- Local perfumes nominated for two Hollywood awards, Muchacho

"Song for Zula" by Phosphorescent (n Matthew Houck) ranks among the year's most gorgeous tracks. At the very least, it's the crown jewel of the already spectacular record Muchacho, an intuitive and imaginative melding of alt-country and indie rock that's also bathed in a psychedelic ambience. Inspired by a gorilla in the Brooklyn Zoo, Houck turns her captivity into a heartrending story of love and betrayal: Some say love is a burning thing, he sings, atlanta falcons jerseys, his voice warping and wavering, as a cascade of haunting strings and synths swirl about. That it makes a fiery ring/Oh, but I know love as a caging thing. The rest of the album is of a similarly dark, but digestible, nature. We hear Houck the troubadour, dabbling in both brash-yet-breezy guitarscapes ("Ride On/Right On") and soulful acoustic numbers ("Down to Go"), unafraid to inject a little fiddle or a clattering clavinet, struggling to bear his anguish and remain the calm and cool titular muchacho. Obamacare fears are short on facts

<html>Unfortunately, many who stand to benefit from the new law must wade through the distractions and fearmongering from those rooting for it to fail. Take for example in these pages, which is heavy on fear, panthers jersey, yet light on facts. Mr. Rose writes that his business s private insurance rates will rise 11.6 percent this summer and that 3.75 percent of this rise will be attributed to the new health care law. Setting aside for a moment his own admission that most of this rate increase has absolutely nothing to do with the new law, his arguments are faulty. For example: he notes that his rates are currently based on his employees health status gender, age, type of company and location What he neglects to mention is that were any of his employees to get sick or disabled, or if he were to hire new employees who happen to be women, his rates could increase exponentially. The new community rating system he professes to fear so greatly, will actually be a great asset: no longer will a lone employee s sudden illness (or the illness of a family member) lead to an astronomical rise in everybody s rates. And small businesses will be able to pool their risk and with it their bargaining power in order to get lower rates and better coverage for their employees. The truth of the matter is that before the Affordable Care Act, small businesses didn t have the bargaining power of large businesses and they paid through the teeth because of it. Between 1999 and 2009 annual family premiums for small business employees grew a whopping 123 percent from $5,700 to $12,700 a year. Even if just one employee got sick, it would often impact everyone s premiums. It s no surprise that small business premiums were 18 percent higher on average than the premiums paid by big business (not to mention the administrative and set-up costs, which also tended to run higher). The Affordable Care Act also has another, important mechanism to make it more affordable for small business to cover their employees: tax credits. In fact, many are already benefiting from a new tax credit worth up to 35 percent of their premium contribution. Next year, the maximum tax credit will be worth up to 50 percent of some employers contributions to employees premium costs. Small businesses also benefit from provisions in the new law designed to rein in excessive price increases. Insurers selling to small businesses must now justify double-digit rate increases (the proportion of double-digit rate increases proposed by insurance companies dropped from 75 percent in 2010 to 14 percent at the start of 2013). And they generally must provide rebates if they spend less than 80 percent of customers premiums on actual care (rather than things like CEO salaries or advertising). When you clear away the demagoguery and arguments being made by the law s opponents,Adventure Time- Explore the D,Wholesale NFL Jerseys, it s clear that the Affordable Care Act is great for business, cheap nba basketball jerseys, and great for consumers. Will- For this we give thanks-

<html>We are tomorrow's past, so this Thanksgiving give thanks for 2013,3 on Willie Nelson's band bus, a year the future might study more for amusement than for edification. HealthCare.gov performed the public service of defeating Barack Obama's ascription of every disagreeable effect to one of two causes -- George W. Bush or global warming. Concerning the latter, a CNN anchor wondered if an asteroid that passed by Earth on Feb. 15 was "an effect of, perhaps, global warming." The Los Angeles Times announced that it had stopped publishing letters questioning global warming caused by human activity. Which makes sense, if you agree with The New Yorker's resident expert, who called the latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report on warming "the last word on climate change." It evidently is the first science to reach the end of its subject, all questions answered. Therefore it is puzzling that dramatic predictions of an unusually high number of 2013 hurricanes were dramatically wrong. Paleoanthropology has not reached its last word. The story of human evolution may have been simplified by conclusions reached this year about a 1.8 million-year-old skull found in the Caucasus in 2005. The earliest human remain found outside of Africa indicates that our ancestors emerged from Africa as a single species, not several species. Its brain was about one-third the size of today's human brains. Some of today's brains. All too vigilant In Washington, even local government is demented: The Metropolitan Area Transit Authority threatened Henry Docter with "arrest, philadelphia eagles hat, fines and imprisonment" for the crime of unregulated gardening. Docter had filled 176 empty planters at the Dupont Circle subway stop. The Transit Authority was briefly deterred by the public outcry against its threat to punish Docter for his uncompensated act of beautification. But then it had the 1,000 morning glories and other plants ripped out. Those vigilant about our welfare never sleep; Canadian relief supplies for Oklahoma tornado victims were stopped at the U.S. border until every item could be itemized in alphabetical order and its country of origin noted. You can't be too careful. As the National Park Service and NASA understand. They are among the federal agencies that have their own SWAT teams. The Department of Agriculture,Today’s Climate Summit Press Conferences, however, stresses sensitivity. A video of its "cultural sensitivity training" shows employees being instructed to call the Pilgrims who created Thanksgiving "illegal aliens." I kept doing the drugs because I didn t want to feel, one addict said.
I d get home at night after work and just suck down another bottle of wine, another added.

The desperate addicts, one hooked on drugs the other alcohol,Blair Kerkhoff’s Around the N, wanted people to know about the extreme measures that they had to take to get clean.

It was really a miracle, one of the addicts said.

The so-called miracle was ibogaine, a powerful hallucinogen made from the bark of a tree that only grows in West Africa.

The addict in question had used cocaine for decades but his cravings disappeared after a single dose of ibogaine, philadelphia eagles hat, CBS 2 s Maurice Dubois reported.

That was just incredible. I had no desire to do cocaine, he said.

The addict tapped into the ibogaine underground and was treated in his apartment.

After ingesting ibogaine users will typically experience hallucinations, some of which may be frightening. The experience is often followed by hours of vomiting. The addict said the experience was unpleasant but when he recovered he was clean and was not experiencing any of the withdrawal symptoms that are typically associated with cocaine use.

This is a remarkable medicine,Legalization Nation's Marijua, he said.

Former Addict Dimitri Mugianias claims to have seen ibogaine work again and again. He said that he has treated hundreds of addicts all of which have been detoxed without the excruciating symptoms of withdrawal.

Not going through withdrawal is huge. It s almost unbelievable,Customized Jerseys NFL, one addict said.

One woman traveled to a treatment center in Mexico, where ibogaine is legal, to get treatment for her drinking problem.

Since receiving the treatment she said that she no longer craves alcohol.

I could really take it or leave it. There s no compulsion there that I need to have wine now, cheap basketball, she said.

However, doctors warn that ibogaine is illegal for a reason. Use of the drug has not been backed by any scientific studies and using it could be highly risky.

Doing it by yourself or having someone come to your home or come to a hotel room I think is crazy because it s not controlled and the drug is really dangerous. It can kill you. The drug can kill you, one doctor said.

But former addicts say ibogaine worked them when nothing else would.

I m looking forward to a future where I can deal with my life without doing things that are self-destructive without ever using drugs again, one former addict said.

The National Institute for Drug Abuse is funding trials next year on a synthetic drug that has a similar makeup to ibogaine.

Next stop in Florida's medical marijuana debate- the courtho

<html>On Dec. 5, the justices will hear arguments over the language of the proposal that will be on the November 2014 ballot if sponsors can secure nearly 700,000 validated voter signatures by early next year. Opponents, including Attorney General Pam Bondi, legislative leaders, doctors and anti-drug groups, will argue that the ballot language is misleading and would lead to the widespread use of marijuana far beyond the treatment of Floridians for debilitating diseases like cancer or ALS. Supporters say they are pushing the amendment because lawmakers refuse to consider legislation on the issue and are out of touch with ordinary Floridians as exemplified by a Quinnipiac University poll this month showing voters approved of letting doctors prescribe marijuana for medical conditions, 82 percent to 16 percent. Supporters among them is trial lawyer John Morgan, who is financing much of the initiative drive say the ballot language is a straightforward attempt to allow Floridians to decide whether the state will join more than 20 others that have approved the use of medical marijuana.

Medical marijuana has been proven to give our loved ones relief they need, helping with pain, appetite, seizures and spasms, Morgan said in a radio ad promoting the initiative. Unfortunately, Tallahassee politicians refused to vote on the issue last session. They wouldn't even hear testimony from patients and their families. Therefore, we will take this act of mercy to you, the people.

The Supreme Court decision will pivot on two issues: whether the ballot language is accurate, and whether the proposal encompasses a single subject. Opponents say the measure misses the mark on both counts. In a brief filed this month, Bondi, the state's top legal officer, argued that the amendment is so broadly written that while it would let patients with cancer and other serious diseases use medical marijuana, it would also make it available to other Floridians with less-debilitating ailments that include insomnia, anxiety and everyday aches and pains.

If voters want to make Florida one of the most permissive medical marijuana states in the country they can use their constitutional initiative power to do so. That is their right, the brief said.

But Bondi argued that the amendment must be rejected by the court because ballot language does not reveal the initiative's true purpose. Senate President Don Gaetz, R-Niceville, and House Speaker Will Weatherford, R-Wesley Chapel, filed a brief arguing that in addition to misleading language, baseball jerseys cheap, the ballot proposal includes more than one subject. Aside from decriminalizing the use of marijuana for medical purposes,dtools22's Blog, the legislative leaders said the amendment includes a new regulatory scheme affecting both the executive and legislative branches of government,Nintendo says this amazing Super Mario site is ill, as well as a provision providing immunity from civil liability.

The combination of the three subjects in a single-initiative petition cannot survive single-subject review, the legislative brief said.

People United for Medical Marijuana, the initiative group, defended the measure in a brief, arguing that it did not violate the single-subject rule because its prime purpose is to allow the medical use of marijuana. The group said all the other issues raised by opponents are directly connected to that purpose and designed to implement that single goal in a defined and limited way. The initiative supporters also said the ballot language is accurate in explaining that the chief purpose of the amendment is to allow use of medical marijuana for individuals with certain medical conditions and diseases as determined by a Florida physician.

This proposal presents a clear choice to voters, said the brief, written in part by former House Speaker Jon Mills, cheap basketball jerseys nba, who is also a former law school dean at the University of Florida.

The Supreme Court decision, which will come sometime after the oral arguments are made, is only one potential roadblock for the medical marijuana campaign. Supporters still must gather 683,149 verified voter signatures by February in order to get the initiative on 2014 general election ballot. As of this week, the state Division of Elections reported that the initiative drive had 131,655 validated signatures although there is a lag time between when the petitions are collected and when they're verified by the local supervisors of elections. The amendment campaign was offering an incentive to petition collectors, allowing them to enter a contest to attend the Supreme Court hearing in Tallahassee.

This is going to be one of the most historic arguments held in Florida in recent years and we know you'll want to be there,Cheap NFL Jerseys china, Ben Pollara, the campaign manager, said in a message to supporters this week.</html>

Airlines expect profits to jump to record high

<html>The International Air Transport Association said Thursday it forecasts a profit of $19.7 billion well above the $12.9 billion expected this year and the $7.4 billion made in 2012. But the Geneva-based group, which represents 240 airlines, or 84 percent of total air traffic, noted margins are dropping. Next year's profit would come from projected revenues of $743 billion. By contrast, 2010's $19.2 billion profit was made on revenues of just $579 billion. Tony Tyler, director-general and CEO of IATA,Cheap NFL Jerseys china, said that the profit would amount to a little less than $6 per passenger. "To put that into perspective, the McDonald's down the road here in Geneva will make about the same amount of profit by selling four Happy Meals, seattle seahawks jerseys,Recruiting has much to do with UF," Tyler told reporters. "It begs the question of whether $6 per passenger is a reasonable reward for airlines if you consider the technology, skills and capital that is invested," he said. Passenger traffic has been expanding by about 5-6 percent and jet fuel prices remain high, but below their 2012 peak, baseball jerseys cheap, Tyler said. The $12.9 billion net profit the industry expects for 2013, based on $708 billion in revenue, is itself a significant improvement on the group's earlier forecasts. He attributed that to "a slight fall in the high price of oil" and the efficiencies of mergers and joint ventures, along with more success at cutting costs. More airlines, for example, are charging passengers separately for food, baggage and other items. IATA's chief economist, Brian Pearce, expects these factors to continue to help the industry into 2014. Fuel prices are forecast to ease further due to new supply discoveries and the possible return to oil production of Iran. North American airlines are expected to make the biggest profit next year $8.3 billion, up from $5.8 billion this year but see only a modest increase in demand for flight travel. Carriers in Europe, where the economy has fared worse than other developed markets, are expected to have smaller profits $3.2 billion in 2014 from $1.7 billion this year. But they are due to enjoy a sharper recovery in passenger traffic as the recession ends in some countries. The highest growth in demand is forecast in emerging markets in Asia, the Pacific region,Tour included a storm rescue, the Middle East, Latin America and Africa. Asian airlines should see profits hit $4.1 billion next year, ending a three-year drop in earnings, while the Middle Eastern ones should see steady growth to $2.4 billion from $1.6 billion.</html>

Hyde5- How Pat Riley's dad motivated Dolphins

<html>3. The Dolphins gave up three sacks in the first half, and it looked like a repeat of the bad, old line that was on a record-setting pace of sacks through the first half of the season. That s where the value of experience came. Dolphins left tackle said the ever-resourceful noticed a small crack in set-up of guard Sam Brenner, who was jump-setting, or moving off the line quickly to neutralize defensive tackle Joe Vellano.

They were running stunts so we had to address what they were doing and correct it,BART's General Manager Should, McKinnie said.

The stunt was they were having the lineman opposite McKinnie,Cheap Giants T-Shirts, usually , move to his left directly into Brenner;s, earhole, as McKinnnie said. As Brenner was taking a small step forward and McKinnie a small step back, that would create a fracture in the Dolphins line that a looping tackle or linebacker would exploit.

I talked with Brenner to go vertical,Eli Manning Jersey, to take a small step back to stay even with me, McKinnie said. I d seen that done before, and that s the way to neutralize it.

While the rest of the country played in the cold,Taylor Swift Is Officially Red 4, the home-field advantage might have helped the Dolphins. IGN Publishes Next Gen Console Sales Chart

<html>Before trolls come here and post shit, you have to understand that the average straight male and teenager is very insecure and thinks that only shooting, mature, racing, and all that shit gaming and consoles is cool and see Nintendo as kiddy, and they are the ones that play home consoles the most and buy them, most straight men think GTA it s the coolest shit ever and every day there s more and more teenagers that flow the market plus the adults, look at Justin Bieber, all the millions of teenagers buying his shit. Now we have not only the teenagers buy also the aduls who see the PS4 as cool and super powerful so they bought it like crazy at launch, while the Wii didn t have kids,San Francisco 49ers Jersey, nor these mature playing games gamers, not even parents, grandmas, or hardcore gamers, cause there wasn t big titles announced at launch and they didn t really make the new controller seem as an amazing thing.

At the end, all the teenager are going crazy now for shooting games and they are the ones that buy consoles now and Nintendo is lacking that, so Nintendo needs to stop with the 3434345465 Marios and give us variety, I mean, I love both mature games and kiddy games BUT I don t see them like that! I just see them like games with different content! One is all happy and cute and the other one is all bloody and more violent, but remember when Nintendo was the one with Resident Evil 4 as an exclusive? Remember when they had games like Eternal Darkness and Perfect Dark? If Nintendo just keeps selling Mario,Cheap Giants T-Shirts, Mario, Mario, only Mario fans will buy Nintendo consoles.

I don t want Nintendo to become a mature cool console with the same games as the Xbox and PS4, cause let s be honest, those two are almost the same shit, I want Nintendo to continue giving us amazing games like Mario Galaxy, but give us more variety, stop focusing in families and kids only, give us at least a Eternal Darkness and the next Zelda to cater to the hardcore audience not to the family, you have Wii Fit for that!

Also, Nintendo didn t built up excitement as Sony did, I remember Iwata with the controller at his hand and he was just showing it without any jaw dropping game showing and the console didn t look very different from the Wii. Big mistakes.

Anyways, Sony not only has the dude bro teenage market and the adult market right now, they made their console look cool and super modern,Johny Hendricks wants Georges,Wholesale 49ers Hats,3DS, Wii U and Vita games better than-anything on PS4 or Xbox One, say critics, and built up hype, while Nintendo release only an HD version of New Super Mario Bros., Nintendo will sell more than the Xbox One, cause let s be honest, the Xbox One won t sell shit in Japan, but hey, maybe Sony will win this gen, but at least we won the last one, can t win them all!</html>

Louisville hires Petrino again as football coach

<html>Upon returning Thursday to the Cardinals after seven years, Petrino promised his second stint would be permanent because this was always his destination even with collegiate stops at Arkansas and Western Kentucky and a 13-game foray with the NFL's Atlanta Falcons. Petrino returns to a Louisville program that has changed a lot since he left, one that's gearing up to join the Atlantic Coast Conference next season with a home game against newly crowned champion Florida State. The coach insisted that he's a changed person as well as he enters the next and hopefully final stop in his career. "It's great to be back home," Petrino said during a sometimes-emotional news conference. "It's really unbelievable to get the opportunity to come back here. For (wife) Becky, and (children) Nick and Bobby and Katie, this is our home and we're excited to be able to come back." Petrino coached Western Kentucky to an 8-4 record last season in his only year with the team. He led the Cardinals to a 41-9 mark from 2003-06 including an Orange Bowl victory his final season. He succeeds Charlie Strong,Wholesale Frank Gore Jersey, who left last weekend after four years to accept the Texas job. Petrino inherits a team coming off a 12-1 finish and 23-3 the past two seasons with two bowl wins. Petrino received a seven-year contract with a base annual salary of $3.5 million. It includes a $10 million buyout for leaving that decreases after four years. But the well-traveled coach said that will not be necessary because this is his "destination job." Petrino is 83-30 as a college coach. His record includes a 34-17 mark at Arkansas that ended amid scandal in April 2012. He came to the Razorbacks after a 3-10 season in 2007 with the Falcons that ended with the coach announcing his departure in letters left at the players' lockers. "I made mistakes,Cheap Giants T-Shirts,Steve Irwin's Daughter, Bindi, both professionally and personally, and that's something I'm not going to do again," Petrino said. "The first mistake was leaving Louisville, and I'm hoping that the fans and everybody will forgive me. I'm more energized,Vernon Davis #85 Jersey, more excited than I've ever been." Petrino had been mentioned for the Louisville job almost from the moment Strong left for the Longhorns, but the coach said he became aware of the opening only after Cardinals athletic director Tom Jurich approached WKU athletic director Todd Stewart for permission to interview him. Jurich said he was angry at Petrino early in the Tuesday interview because of the coach's behavior in his previous Louisville stint,UFC 167 'St. Pierre vs. Hendricks' results- Sooo...About las, one that included player disciplinary issues. The AD also said he was mad at Petrino for leaving after the Orange Bowl win for the pros, though he acknowledged the coach was honest about his interest in the job. On Sunday, Jurich said he and Petrino had previously resolved their differences. But he wanted to see if the coach had truly changed as he has professed since Arkansas fired him for "a pattern of misleading behavior" following a motorcycle accident in which he revealed his mistress was a passenger. Jurich came away convinced he was getting a different man from the one who left, reinforcing his belief that Petrino was the right fit for the Cardinals. "If it was the same Bobby that was here 10 years ago, I wasn't interested," said Jurich, adding that he kept coming back to Petrino as he went through a list of seven finalists. "He is definitely a changed person." While Petrino's critics have been skeptical about his commitment, public sentiment for his hiring has been mostly favorable on sports talk radio, online polls and social media. Petrino has been contrite since the embarrassing matter and reiterated Thursday he has been humbled by his experiences. Asked how he would quell skepticism, the coach said, "the thing you do is just show (it). I have a sign in the locker room that says it's a 'show-me' world." Petrino is already off and running on his staff. Persons familiar with the situation tell The Associated Press that UAB coach Garrick McGee is stepping down and has agreed to become Petrino's offensive coordinator, while Alabama administrative assistant Kevin Steele will become defensive coordinator. The new Cardinals coach added that he will retain defensive line coach Clint Hurtt, penalized in October by the NCAA for violations committed as a Miami (Fla.) assistant. "There were a couple of on the fence, but now all the players are convinced," Brown said. "We knew what we had while he was here, a top-10 offense. He had a good track record while he was here. I knew he liked to use big backs like Michael Bush. I was kind of worried, but now we are all convinced." Petrino said he was excited to get started with his second go-round with Louisville. "It's certainly a privilege to see how everything has moved, and now we're going into the ACC," he said. "It's a great challenge to see the schedule we have coming up, and I can't wait to play that schedule."</html>

Developer Pat Neal plans The Woods subdivision in rural east

<html>They also contend that the presence of cars and people could interfere with wildlife migrating through the property to several nearby nature preserves. Yet others welcome the proposed The Woods at Venice as an asset for the still-developing area east of Interstate 75, saying they expect it to be a high-quality development. On Tuesday, the Venice Planning Commission conducted a "pre-hearing conference" with Neal to discuss his plans. A public hearing at which the advisory board will make a recommendation to the City Council will be conducted later. Jeff Boone,Taylor Swift Is A Mesmerizing Masterpiece At The Winter Whit, attorney for Neal, said his client may continue to refine the subdivision plan before formally submitting it. The site still has county zoning for estate-size, multiple-acre lots. Many homeowners in the area have horses and livestock. Neal Communities wants the city to rezone its newly acquired property for a density of up to two homes per acre. Although no one from the public appeared at the meeting to voice objections, planning commissioners noted that residents are emailing city officials complaints about the requested density. "The area is one of the few remaining wilderness lands in Venice," wrote Bob Branson, president of Friends of the Carlton Preserve. "...These areas are home to so much wildlife." Branson noted that the site is west of several county-owned nature preserves: the 24,565-acre T. Mabry Carlton Memorial Preserve, the 174-acre Sleeping Turtles Preserve North, the 213-acre Sleeping Turtles Preserve South and the 6,439-acre Deer Prairie Creek Preserve. According to the county,Justin Tuck Jersey, those preserves are home to gopher tortoises, wild turkeys, otters, scrub jays and other wildlife. A Florida panther was documented there in 2010. The site is also south of the city-owned, 10-acre Venice Myakka River Park at Laurel Road and Jackson Road. "The reason many people live out here is for the open land and wildlife," Walter Rossmann,Wholesale Frank Gore Jersey, who lives off Border Road, wrote. "The rezoning would have a major impact on the wildlife corridor that is needed for this area as well as surrounding areas." Neal and his representatives counter that the property is within a larger area designated by the city and Sarasota County years ago as appropriate for annexations and new subdivisions. They contend wildlife does not migrate through the low-lying, typically wet area, where Neal will have to protect designated wetlands and build atop elevated lots. "This is not Oscar Scherer State Park,Deadline approaches for Gingerbread Festival_0," Boone said. Regardless, "regulations to protect endangered species... are in place and we are going to be bound by them," Boone said. Planning Commission Chairman Barry Snyder said the city could require an ecological survey during the site plan approval stage. A resident of Venetian Golf and River Club, which is on Laurel Road north of the site, attended the meeting but declined to speak. Afterward, he declined to give his name but said Neal presented his plans to that community's board,Wholesale 49ers Jerseys, which gave him a favorable reception. "This is our first experience with Neal," the resident said. "I think he's a really good builder. I think he'll be good for north Venice." In other action, the Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of a four-unit condominium that Gary Roberts wants to build on a vacant lot at 708 W. Venice Ave. The city initially approved the project in 2007 but that approval has expired.</html>

HOMEFIELD- Two area colleges that dominate at home

<html>/ HOMEFIELD: Two area colleges that dominate at home January 11, 2014 by The RCC football team has celebrated 24 straight home victories. (file photo)

As part of today s story package on teams that enjoy a homefield advantage, we selected a couple of area colleges that are tough on visiting opponents. We narrowed it down to just two, but it s a pretty good two.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL
Riverside City College
Wheelock Field
By the numbers: 24-0 – The rise of the RCC football program has been well document since the arrival of head coach Tom Craft four years ago. Not only have the Tigers won – three bowl wins and a state playoff berth in four seasons – they’ve been dominant at home. RCC has won all 24 games at Wheelock Field over the past four seasons. The average score during the span has been 42-22, with most of the opponents’ scoring coming in second-half blowouts.

Former Mt. San Jacinto men s basketball coach John Chambers helped turn the school s small gym into a nightmare for visiting teams. (file photo)

COLLEGE BASKETBALL
Mt. San Jacinto College
The Eagles Nest
By the numbers: 703 – Hall of Fame coach John Chambers didn’t win all of those games in MSJC’s tiny gym, but the coach with the larger-than-life persona and cowboy boots,Nike Saints Jersey, knew how to put on a show. The small-town and small-school vibe is enhanced by an eclectic crowd of rowdy students, combined with local residents enjoying their retirement years, and even Code Red, fans from a Christian drug and alcohol rehab group.
Why it’s the best: Unofficially dubbed the Eagles Nest,Orleans Saints Jersey,While Tamba Hali is likely to play Sunday for Chiefs, news on Justin Houston is unclear, the gym is small, dark and, let’s be honest, kind of dingy looking. Opposing coaches have been known to squabble with refs,Jason Pierre-Paul #90 Jersey,KC police ID man found shot to death on sidewalk, who obviously are blinded by the atmosphere. And it’s not just the men’s team enjoying the friendly confines. MSJC teams have combined to win six conference titles since 2007 and the women’s team reached the state championship game last year after finishing 12-0 at home.
