If you never moved to a brand new home all by yourself, you may find it to be quite an experience. This is particularly true for those who relocate into an area where you don't know anyone. Some children will, no doubt be very unwilling to attend a brand new school while others will look forward to making new friends at school. The actual moving in part could certainly be made less complicated, if you sorted everything out while you were packing, and got rid of whatever wasn't needed. The last thing you should have when moving, is taking along stuff that ought to have been gotten rid of. As you move things over, make sure the cardboard boxes and furniture go into the correct rooms and do it one room at a time.
The kids can have less trouble if you do this approach since everything for their new room is in there so they can start organizing. When it comes to moving, you really feel like you are starting over. You can have the house totally clean, and then unpacked the way you would like. Every room in your new house will look the way you want it right away. Unless you were completely prepared with electricity, and phone service, you'll find yourself without a phone or computer for a few days. Although it can be an inconvenience, you find that it all works out in the end. Living in a new city, with a new job, and new schools might be hard a first, but after some time passes, and you get into a routine, your life will be back to normal. Your children will experience exactly the same thing as they make new acquaintances, they won't miss their old friends as much. It might be great if you are able to find a neighborhood that is friendly and free from danger.
If you did the research just before you moved, and got a new house to live in, you should have known what the neighborhood would be like. Whenever possible, you should meet your neighbors before you buy a brand new home.
