Poor Old Santa Claus

Bad old Santa Claus. Sometimes he gets a negative rap. People say he doesnt represent Xmas well. People say he doesnt set an example for Christians enjoying December 25. And people saygasp!that he doesnt even exist. Plus, there are some people the hearing care centers of southwestern ear, nose & throat out there who are wanting to confuse only who Santa is. Is he really Saint Nicolas? Or is he some imposter, some major elf from the North Pole who would like to get credit for everything that Saint Nick did and stands for.

Scary stuff, right? Well, if you are getting too upset by these anti-Santa ideas, perhaps you should stop reading this article now. It just gets worse the deeper you obtain into these anti-Santa concepts.

Are you still with us? Good, since to maintain our image of Santa Clausour jolly old manwe need to know why folks are out to get him. Then, and only then, can we stop them from trashing the good name of the person in the red suit.

First off, these anti-Santa folks acknowledge that Santa has some really good qualities. Hes happy and always pleasant. He always has fun games and gift ideas to provide, and he's always good (unless you were naughty, obviously). Where these anti-Santa people stop with the comments but here is. You see, they say that Santa, with all his goodness, is just for children and not for parents.

Worse yet, they say that Santa is only around today to produce money for big Eastern shopping syndicates. Hes just here to make other a sale to people. All that stuff about Santa offering gifts, and spreading good cheer, is all made up, they say. The true intent behind the man with the red cap and the white beard is to get us to eat, to spend money, to offer gifts the same as Santa does.

This is terrible anti-Santa stuff, right? Well, believe it or not, it gets worse. These anti-Santa persons carry on to say that Santa cant be believed because he flies around the world in a sleigh. Certainly, the anti-Santa folks have no belief in Rudolph. And talking about faith, the anti-Santa people also say that Santa takes away from the real purpose of Christmas, which will be to observe Baby Jesus.

You see, these anti-Santa folks say the true Saint Nicolas surpasses Santa. He was a genuine person, they say, who thought and practiced goodwill to all women, men, and young ones. He was kind and good, and was a passionate believer in Baby Jesus. And Santa isnt real, they say?

Had enough? Me too. Heres ways to understand that these anti-Santa folks are way off base. What these anti-Santa people dont understand is that Santa and Saint Nick are one and the exact same. So you cant say that Saint Nick surpasses Santa, or that Santa is burning Saint Nicks design. St Nick is Santa! Together, as one, they represent all that is good about Christmas, and all that we must exercise everyday, not just December 25.

So, please, anti-Santa bashers, please keep the big man alone. Hes never done any such thing but provide holiday cheer, love for mankind, and tons of fun.
