Menopausal weight gain seems to be an excellent problem for women because they age. It seems that gaining some weight in those times in life seems inevitable. Some girls may even be puzzled as to why they seem to pile up weight even though they eat exactly the same level of food. There are many reasons for this.
Because their human body is certainly going through changes during menopause girls go through menopausal weight gain. The explanation for the weight gain may stem fro the hormones themselves. All through menopause human growth hormones, normal estrogen levels within the body seem to go down. Estrogen is the female sex hormone that is responsible for a woman's monthly ovulation.
Low estrogen levels throughout menopause causes the female body to prevent ovulating. Her body tries to find other way to get its estrogen present, as the ovaries of the girl make less estrogen. Among the ensures that the human body can be supplied with the estrogen hormone is through the fat cells. So the human body tries to transform as much of the calories it is supplied with into fat to be able to make the much needed estrogen. Unfortuitously, the fat cells are not as successful in burning calories up to muscles do. That causes women to finish off extra pounds.
Progesterone is another hormone that may be the reason for weight gain during menopause. Exactly like estrogen, women undergoing menopause also experience their body's progesterone levels drop. On women on an alternative way this causes weight gain. Low degrees of progesterone in the torso are connected with water retention and bloating, giving one the look of having weightier and bigger. But this effect often only occurs for a short while and may disappear in just a few months.
Yet another hormone that could be in charge of weight gain during menopause could be the male sex hormone androgen. Menopause leads to a rise of androgen levels in women. This hormone becomes responsible for sending the obtained weight in to the abdominal area or the middle part of the body. This is actually the reason the "middle age spread" why weight gain during menopause can also be referred to.
Yet another hormone that could be responsible for weight gain during menopause is testosterone. The body is helped by this hormone to create lean body mass out from the calories that the body consumes. Muscle cells are better at burning calories than fat cells and helps in increasing the body's metabolism. During menopause, the degree of this hormone drops which in turn results in a progressive loss in muscle. This implies that metabolism in the body decelerates, inducing the body to burn up calories slower.
Women become concerned and frustrated when they suddenly find themselves attaining weight during menopause. Regardless of how careful they are on maintaining their eating habits and even including a dose of exercise into their daily practice, they still can't appear to maintain their weight. Women must understand that it's because of the changes within the body during menopause that makes keeping their weight even more complicated. Losing weight also becomes a far more complicated enterprise than ever before.
Women should remember that it is not entirely their fault that they're gaining weight during this stage in their life. Menopausal weight gain is really a normal event due to the fluctuations in the hormone levels in the human body. These hormones may also have a large effect on one's appetite and the body's capability to metabolize calories and store fats.
When faced with weight gain the better that women understand what continues with their bodies during menopause, the less frustrated they could become.
