Johnson Controls appoints corporate development executive

<html>Johnson Controls Inc. named Bill Jackson to a newly created executive vice president of corporate development Wednesday, underscoring the new CEO's plans to change the focus of the company.

Jackson joined Johnson Controls in 2011 and has led the company's automotive electronics and interiors businesses since last year. Johnson Controls is selling the electronics business lines.

The first divestiture was announced this summer, with Johnson Controls to be paid $700 million to sell its HomeLink wireless control system,
