You have to love conflicting spin — and know that Adidas has a reason to spin here (it would be big trouble for them if they officially reached out to an underclassman). You also should know that shoe companies reach out to young players but it s never official — there could never be an offer letter until Wiggins declares for the draft.
Here are my thoughts on the reality of the situation:
Does Adidas have Wiggins on their radar? Damn straight, everyone does.
Is he their top target? If not they are doing it wrong. Attacking wings who can score like Wiggins sell a lot of shoes.
Is the $180 million figure accurate? It seems high, but the truth is any talk of a figure is premature before he plays his college season. If he averages 30 a game the number is different than if he averages 10. Maybe the figure gets there if Nike and Adidas get in a bidding war,discount nba jerseys, but we are not really having that discussion yet. At least not formally.
Would a shoe company CEO sign his name to a letter promising hundreds of millions of dollars to a college underclassman? Come on, you don’t get to be CEO of a major corporation by being stupid.

<html>NEW YORK () -- Upgrading to Windows 8.1 is no easy task. I've found that in some cases it's a process that can't be accomplished at all. Because of one particularly severe problem, Microsoft () was forced to halt all Windows RT upgrades.
This summer, Microsoft offered users of both Windows Pro (running on Intel () processors) and Windows RT (running on ARM-based () processors) a chance to preview its (then) future Windows 8.1 operating system. The beta offered a glimpse of the hundreds of improvements Microsoft was going to offer in its first major revision.
At that time, we installed the preview editions of both Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1 on a number of machines. The process was painless and we appreciated the improvements Microsoft had made. We especially loved the return of the familiar "Start" button on the traditional Windows screen.
Last Thursday,discount football jerseys, Microsoft officially released Windows 8.1 and RT 8.1 to the public. The software for both platforms was offered as free downloads via the Windows online store. It took hours for any of my computers to get into the store. The system was swamped. It wasn't until early Friday morning that I could even try to access the upgrades.

I decided to ask for an explanation. I contacted Microsoft's "Rapid Response Team" for journalists. I received an answer from the public relations team within 30 minutes.. Since Friday evening we've been in touch a number of times. His last message said I'd be updated on the situation sometime Monday.
My problem is different from the one which forced Microsoft to "pull" all Windows RT upgrades on Saturday. According to the :
"Microsoft is investigating a situation affecting a limited number of users updating their Windows RT devices to Windows RT 8.1. As a result, we have temporarily removed the Windows RT 8.1 update from the Windows Store. We are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience. We will provide updates as they become available."
The problem affected some who were able to successfully upgrade to 8.1. The people who never bothered trying the beta, their efforts were rewarded with major operational glitches. For them, Windows RT 8.1 crashed and/or didn't re-boot properly after the installation process leaving their machines non-functioning. There is no way to determine just how limited this problem was, but we do know it was serious enough for Microsoft to stop anyone from trying to install it.
These problems are not great confidence builders for Microsoft's struggling operating system business. Allowing end users to install or upgrade their OS has historically been troublesome. I remember when the process involved dozens of floppy disks and hours/days of tweaking. We've come a long way since then but it's still a time and labor intensive ordeal.
Other computing platforms aren't 100% glitch-free either. Apple's () OS X and various forms of Linux have, from time to time, not been perfect right out of the box. Bu, those operating systems don't have the same perception problem that Microsoft has with Windows RT.
The glitches should have been detected and fixed in the past 12 months of development. Hopefully experts will be able to fix the problems quickly. In preview form, Windows 8.1 (both platforms) showed much promise. But users must be able to install the new software to try it for themselves.

Several months ago, Jeffrey Katzenberg reached out to Hillary Clinton to assure her that if she runs for president in 2016, he will support her.
Katzenberg is one of Hollywood s premier political kingmakers and one of the Democratic Party s top national fundraisers, so the call had to be a welcome one. For Clinton, who failed to secure his support for her unsuccessful run at the Democratic nomination in 2008, it also was crucial.
Eight years ago, the bitter struggle between Clinton loyalists and Barack Obama disciples riveted Hollywood. It divided families, neighbors, business partners and friends. Nicole Avant, later President Obama s ambassador to the Bahamas, split with her father,Authentic Arizona Cardinals Jerseys Sale, music executive Clarence; her brother
Alex; and her godfather, Quincy Jones, all of whom went with Clinton (as did her future husband, Netflix s Ted Sarandos). Katzenberg already is conveying the message both publicly and privately that he s committed to her. She did an amazing job as secretary of state, he tells The Hollywood Reporter. She has really shown herself to be a great statesman. The four years of seasoning has really made her the best-qualified candidate out there today, and I m happy to support her.
Katzenberg, according to a source close to him, was favorably impressed by Clinton during her phone call with him. As one of the biggest financial backers of the super PAC Priorities USA Action, which raised a war chest of $79 million and supported Obama in 2012, the DreamWorks Animation CEO is crucial not only for his money but also for his ability to mobilize others.
The center of power in the Democratic Party in terms of money really has moved to Katzenberg, says one top national Democratic strategist. The most important person you should get is Jeffrey. He should be her No.?1 priority.
A close No.?2? Geffen. His brutal 2007 assessment of the Clintons to Maureen Dowd in The New York Times now is infamous; in Dowd s column, he called Hillary incredibly polarizing and cited the ease with which they lie. Fast-forward, however, to July, when the now-reclusive mogul told Fortune that he would absolutely support Clinton for president. (Geffen did not respond to THR s request for further comment.)
Top music manager Irving Azoff (a self-described Hillary loyalist from the start ) sees a Hollywood pragmatism at work. A lot of people in Hollywood are not 100?percent thrilled with Obama and think we need a more centrist Democrat, he says.
