Why I want a Pool

So you want a swimming pool. I know I do but thats since my body is getting flabbier as I grow older and I need a pool for 2 reasons. I hope by training in a swimming pool it will develop my muscles, help me loose some of my flab and make me fitter and another cause is I dont want to scare people when I use a shared pool. When Im in a public swimming pool people think theres a whale loose inside it when its only me. Oh dear, I think I should diet too.
I spent last summer touring in Europe. I started in London it rained, travelled through France and remained within an old converted remote farmhouse with its own pool and then travelled down through Spain to the Costa del Sol where I then spent 3 months in a villa saturated in the Andalusian hills with spectacular sea and mountain views and needless to say its own swimming pool. Both pools were self-builds and were unique. The swimming-pool in Spain have been built by the apartment owner, a terrific guy named John, who was an ex pat contractor from London. Take the swimming pool in France. This was much more of a modern pool but again was in a country location so really a formal new swimming pool wouldnt work and Im pleased to say that this wasnt a formal swimming pool while at least everything was right like the sides of the pool. Again, the design was some thing I had never seen before. The pool sloped down from your low end but at a particular stage, the deep part fell away on all 4 sides to become 1-2 ft deep. But, it'd an underwater shelf about 3 ft below the top completely across the pool. It was great for chasing the children across the pool, or for them chasing me, and we had a holiday with 2 fantastic pools.
The trouble was though that while I had a very long vacation, I didnt see a great deal of France or Spain except when we were traveling. The reason, well Im sure you are able to imagine. Or even heres a hint. I had 2 excellent pools. I'm sure I could identify the swimming pools better than the country local to where I stayed. Ill have to try again and return next year but when selecting somewhere to keep I understand Ill be distracted by the private pools.
