Half marathons continue to grow in 2013, with the state of Illinois half marathon totals falling in the middle, in comparison to all states in the United States. Hence, many Illinois half marathons sell out very quickly.

The highest number of Illinois half marathons appear to be Chicago half marathons, within the surrounding metro and suburban area.
