Hailing from a background in fine arts with a skilled eye for bringing out oneâs natural beauty, Tonya Crooks has earned her title as âThe Brow Galâ to many of Hollywoodâs finest celebrities, including Megan Fox, Fergie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Eva Mendes, Britney Spears, Jenna Dewan Tatum, Molly Sims, Chelsea Handler and LeAnn Rimes, just to name a few. Having provided unrivaled services as an eyebrow expert and makeup artist for the last 12 years, Tonya Crooks not only brings new techniques to the table, but also launches her collection of âThe Brow Galâ eyebrow grooming and makeup tools and products in 2013.
From a young age, everyone knew that Tonya was going to be an artist. Following her dreams, Tonya first began her journey studying fine arts at The Royal Academy of Art in London. While there, it so happened that she found an interest in makeup and beauty, and began providing her services for photo shoots as a way of income. Tonyaâs talent for treating each face as a blank canvas was quickly noticed and her services and expertise were continuously requested on set.
Returning to the United States with a Bachelorâs degree in fine arts, Tonya began working as the Regional Beauty Director for Nordstrom before being offered a position to work as an Account Executive with Make Up For Ever in Paris. Receiving direct apprenticeship from Dany Sanz, founder of Make Up For Ever, Tonya had the opportunity to work backstage at Paris Couture fashion shows with all the top models in the industry. Realizing that many of the models needed help grooming their eyebrows, Tonya made it a mission to perfect her skills in finding the best shape for each personâs unique facial structure, quickly becoming one of the best in the industry. With her business, âThe Brow Galâ currently based in West Hollywood, Tonya Crooks balances clients, photo shoots, celebrity requests, makeup lessons, and house calls, all the while being a committed wife and mother to her 9 year old son.
