Windows Phone 7 offers us unprecedented experience: online synchronous service. Yet, even good service needs to pay an increased price-network flow. So, how should we save network flow without affecting good operating experience? The followings are some practical strategies in employing Windows Phone.

1' Wi-Fi network

Steps: Settings'Wi-Fi'Wi-Fi Networking (On/Off'

Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) is the most widely used wireless network transmission technology. That means it transmits wire network signals to wireless ones. When Wi-Fi wireless signals can be purchased, you'll be able to connect towards the network without connecting other signals, which saves flow fees in your case.

2. If you are used to using operator data, I strongly suggest you shutting it well and never turning it on in anticipation of having to use it.

Steps: Settings 'Network' Data Connection (On/Off)

After closing Data Connection, the complete data network will probably be turned off completely. For example, your cellular phone will not be able to receive MMS, neither can it enable to deliver MMS. Besides, notices in regards to the information of Wi-Fi and apps will never be available, either.

Data Roaming Options (Roam/Don't Roam)

For people that haven't opened global roaming, no matter whether you select data roam or otherwise not. However, when you have opened international roaming service and go abroad from time to time, you will need to think twice whether there's necessary to turn on this function.

3. Airplane Mode

Steps: Settings'Airplane Mode (Status On/Off)

This function can close cell cellular during a period and no operator network flow will likely be generated. Yet, after closing this function, you'll be able to still open Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. When there's a calling coming, the caller will receive a message indicating your phone being power off.

4. Mail synchronization'Make full use of Push Mail

Steps: Settings 'Email & Account'Press your email box.

If you don't often send emails and seldom depend on it, please select "Down New Context' Manually Model". If you really need it, please stick to the steps below:

-For Windows Live mailbox:

Steps: Download New Context ' As Items Arrive".

Well, performs this step mean? In fact, it identifies Push Mail. According to my personal experience that Push Mail can better save flow.

-For Exchange ActiveSync mailbox:

Steps: Download New Context s'As Items Arrive.

-For other mail:

As other types of mail don't support Push Mail, you haven't any choice but set the options of "Dowloand New Context ' Regular Inspection". You can save a lot of flow in case you fix a particular time to check emails in accordance with your email intensity.

5. Location services

Steps: Settings 'Location'Location Services'On/Off'

After the close of location services, the apps of previously opened location services will are not able to access to your existing location.

6. Find my phone

Steps:

Settings'Find My Phone

        '

Save my location periodically for better mapping

        '

Get results Faster (could use more battery)

7. Update mobile phones

In days gone by years, because of the openness of Windows, everyone were afraid that their PCs would get poisoned or be invaded by Trojans, that anything stored within the PC could be seen by others, or their passwords or key would be let out.

As smartphones are more clinging to the body, we store many private data or even locations into them. As our smartphones are always in a state of networking quite often, they'll cause more serious loss than PCs if invaded by Trojans.

Compared to Android, WP7 is safer due to its closed os. If strictly keep to the suggestions below, your smartphones will likely be too much safer.

Windows Phone Safety Regulations

Only download apps and games from Marketplace. In fact, there are many methods to unlock WP7 and also to download pirated softwares. Yet, the problem is once you unlock WP7, the API in the bottom of your smartphones will be exposed, thus leading on the possibilities for hackers to have or change some information through these API. Some technicians informed about WP7 can certainly interpret some contrary APP. Plus with Trojan or monitoring apps, they upload them into piracy markets, where you never know perhaps the apps downloaded are problematic or otherwise.

2. Update your cell phones towards the latest version.

3. Set unlock passwords for your cellphone in case of someone will get or steal your phones. Please reference How to Unlock WP7?
4. Set SIM passwords. Take PIN as SIM of your cellphone. By both setting unlock

passwords and SIM codes, your cell phone will probably be safer.

5. If your phones lose, you'd make better use of Find My Phone. Please refer to How to Find My Phone?
6. Have your browser set as Not Store Cookie Automatically. Cookies may record your passwords. If your phones are stolen,

all these data maybe leaked.

Steps: Settings (slide towards the right)'Applicatins'Internet Explorer'Allow Cookies on My Phone (delete the tick)

7. When connecting Wi-Fi in public places, don't input any passwords because hackers are

typically to steal them through public Wi-Fi. Therefore, be more careful when free Wi-Fi is accessible.

Apart from what are already mentioned above, WP7 itself is rather safer. For developers and hardware manufacturers, the closed system somewhat gets a hindrance, yet it can effectively protect users personal data.
