The Dell Corporation - A Technician's Review

The Dell computer has turned into a fixture in companies all around the world. From the days when they were constructed in a university dorm space, to the mass production of today, Dell is among the most successful computer manufacturers.
I act as a computer specialist in a major organization that supports almost 5000 end-users. Our everyday tasks can become overwhelming sometimes. Particularly when our system falls or among our hosts dies.
A very important factor we do not need to concern yourself with is equipment problems. The majority of our PCs are from Dell, the newer types being the Optiplex GX620. When we have a hardware failure in a Dell unit, we just log-on to their web site, send a questionnaire, and the following day our part occurs. We could do all of our warranty alternatives without also rent dell computers support being forced to talk with a customer service representative on the phone.
In a corporate environment that requires near 100% uptime, brings the need for company like that of Dell. The less time we (professionals) can spend worrying about tracking a bit of equipment, in transportation, the more we can concentrate on our work at hand. I guess I am biased, only a little, due to the support that we do get from Dell. But there's nothing easier to a specialist than easily available equipment replacements.
We also deal once and some time with IBM (Lenovo). I cant say that I'm as obsessed with their company. Each and every time we have to replace a part within an IBM unit, they wish to dispatch a technician. That is annoying, after all, most of us are just as certified (and maybe even more so) than these technicians.
No matter who you and your business cope with, ensure that when you bring a fresh dealer you on-board, you take a good look at their support ser-vices. The better support you have the simpler the specialists work is going to be.
