Nine Year Old Entertainer Cameron Nino Rocks!
De BISAWiki
Cameron Nino is 9 yrs old. We fairly recently saw him at an open mic in North Hollywood, and he rocked the home. His performance of the late wonderful Bob Marley's Redemption Song was incredibly new and heart warming. It was a very touching performance and truly inspirational. The host couldn't help yet refer to him as mini Marley. Now, that's an absolute complement. After his performace the host of the open mic commented that it'd be hard for any one else to follow the performance.
So, we decided to make contact with his father and mother and had the chance to consult with him. Cameron Nino was born on November twenty five, 2003 at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles to actress Kimmarie Johnson. He'll be beginning 5th Grade this school year. Cameron Nino began playing the guitar in 2011, just before he turned eight. Cameron recalls that his mother asked him to choose what instrument he want to understand how to play and he find the guitar. Asked why he chose the guitar, he stated that it was simply fun and he loves the sounds he can make with it. He recalls that he did not do several playing in his 1st year simply because he didn't own a guitar. In June 2012, he at last got his 1st guitar - a Fender Stratocaster.
This nine year old also writes his own songs. He currently did an adaptation of the major theme song from Beverly Hills Cop that he titled Back In The Day. He smiled as he described how he came up with the idea to do the adaptation. He recalled that the major theme song for Beverly Hills Cop was one of the 1st songs he learned to play. As he was preparing for a rock show, he decided he desired to rap also as play the guitar. He find the theme song for Beverly Hills Cop as the hook for his rap song. He then developed the lyrics aroung the subject of global warming, which he had just learned in school.
Cameron Nino explained he chose to speak about global warming in the lyrics for Back In The Day as he wished to contribute to the discussion of how society can change our ingrained habits which are destroying the ecological system and the environment. The lyrics pull from info he learned at school about pre-historic times when Dinosaurs roamed the planet, the imaginative abilities of kids to find objects naturally, like stones, that they can play with and how people used to capture animals from the wild and make use of them for travelling. This very imaginative and creative nine years old pieced all this info together in a song which is dynamically catchy and tremendously entertaining, but extremely compelling in its argument for us to change our habits so we can make the world better.
When he's not writing songs or honing his guitar playing competencies , Cameron Nino said he loves to play video games on his Wii-U console. He also spends time making YouTube videos for his gaming channel on youtube - TheEpicGamer567. He told us that he has learned that a lot of video games have severe brain washing capabilities. His interpretation of Bob Marley's Redemption Song is a direct appeal to individuals, especially kids, to be careful to stay away from being brain wahsed by the video games. He drew a paralled between Bob Marley's call to "emancipate yourselves from mental slavery" and the brain washing characteristics resultant from playing all of these games.
We also learned that Cameron Nino has worked on a few film jobs. He these days worked with author and artist James Mihaley on a film based upon Jim Mihaley's book "You Cannot Have My Planet But Take My Brother, Please". The book is currently listed as 'Best Book Of The Year' by the Bank Street College of Education and learning in NYC.
