http://www.MyWot.com has long been accused of being an unethical rating website and has been criticized and accused of fraud and manipulating ratings. Now comes the latest allegation; their TOP Rater, (G7W), has reportedly been identified as a convicted Felon in Ohio. G7W, David Raynard (Stadler), received multiple awards from http://www.MyWot.com for the number of ratings he posted over the last several years (over a million mostly bad), against U.S. Companies. In fact he averaged around 700 personal experiences with companies each day, every day, for over 3 years according to his postings.
Despite continual complaints from businesses, http://www.Mywot.com allowed and encouraged even more ratings. They also developed a Mass rating tool where their raters could post the same ratings and same comments against 100s of companies at once. This mass rating tool appears to remain in use today. (Also see: http://www.McAfee.com (www.siteadvisor.com) implements Mass rating tools). continue reading Quoting one source who asked not to be identified, "Let's face it, MyWot's raters are MyWot. If they lack credibility, so does MyWot".
