Multiple vehicles can be associated with your Fuel Saver account, which is key to the main area of the discussion I had today. There are pretty clear limits to the program. Gas discounts are good for up to 20 gallons per redemption transaction. Two dollars per gallon will be the gas discount limit (although the example in my store showed $2.25 as the limit). The informational brochure lists a minimum gas price of $0.019 and $0.109, so no matter what number the discount limit is, there is no free gas or cash for overages.
Where to start? The distribution of fuel through the customary vacuum tap used-the crankcase vent-may not necessarily meter the vaporized fuel equally to all cylinders. Those closer to the connection may get more fuel than those farther away, causing these cylinders to run rich. And even in the best-case scenario of equal distribution, the fuel-injection management computer checks the amount of oxygen in the exhaust and quickly leans the engine back to proper stoichiometric fuel/air mixture ratios. So, any amount of vaporized fuel the device allows in would simply be subtracted from the amount the computer normally dispenses.
There are a variety of fuel saving products on the market. From magnetic blocks that are placed over your fuel lines with the to cyclone fuel savers that promise vortex generation that will better mix fuel and air for improved efficiency. Other products rely less on snake oil and more on simple reductions in rolling resistance such as in the case of Gas Prices tires. Besides these products, there are also those that attempt to one up the factory fuel system by pre-vaporizing fuel or injecting water into the combustion chamber. There are even chips which claim to change fuel mapping to unlock hidden power and mileage from your engine.
With regards to Tornado's claim of enhanced engine power, a different test has been utilized using a chassis dynamometer to test automobile engine performance in a laboratory setting. Four varying vehicles have been tested both with and without the Tornado Fuel Saver installed to ascertain the horsepower increase produced at highway speeds (70mph). The results have reflected an average increase of 26.4 horsepower or a 29.8% increase in horsepower. Mileage MAXX Is a Real product and is not a scam! When you are ready to buy a new set of tires for your car, consider getting a larger diameter tire. For example, if your car is equipped with a 205 65 15" tire, consider getting a 205 70 15" tire. The first number (205) is the width of the tire. The second number (65) is the distance from the rim to the tread or the tire sidewall. The third number (15) is the size of the rim. The idea is to increase the second number, the sidewall of the tire. Each 5-point increase represents a half-inch larger tire sidewall.
In the end, I decided to make some in-depth research to find out what fuel savers do work and are safe. To my surprise I found a few, but only one that could live up to the price I was paying for. So the best fuel saver product I could find was one that actually allowed your car to run on 50% gas, 50% water. It sounded like another scam to me, but I read all over and I could not find any negative reviews, it also explained how it is safe, easy to install and best of all the price was decent.
