Tracy Families Worried They’ll Be Spending Thanksgivin
<html>TRACY (CBS13) ― It’s been nearly a month since eight Tracy families were forced from their homes when a tree came crashing down on their apartment building, and some may be faced with Thanksgiving in a hotel room.
Six of the eight families displaced will be able to move back in this week, but two families are worried they won’t be home for the holidays.

But she and her young children have had no choice, forced to live in a cramped hotel room for at least four weeks.
“They can t even give me an answer when I can go home,” she said. “I want to know.”
It was a few days before Halloween when a tree came crashing down on a building at the Tracy Village Apartments. The city deemed it too dangerous to occupy, because of the damage. “That s depending on the construction and on the city, so as soon as all the permits and everything are done with the city we ll be able to get everything done,” said property manager David Brooks.
He told us he didn’t have a time frame for that.

So for now, Laverne and her family are stuck in a hotel room, hoping it’s not the setting of her Thanksgiving holiday.
