In CPR training they are going to tell you not yell out "Call 911" in to a crowd but to choose somebody specific. In large groups, everybody assumes somebody else will require responsibility and no-one acts quick enough. You must point or speak right to specific individuals to have help arrive as fast as possible. Fortunately the incident over the past weekend did not require CPR and the injured man will likely be okay.
Having First aid and cpr training can be necessary anytime. It's important to be trained to safeguard yourself, your family and strangers short of funds.
