The story follows the mercenary group called "The Expendables" as they come into conflict with ruthless arms dealer Conrad Stonebanks (Gibson), the Expendables' co-founder, who's determined to destroy the team. The film will probably be released on August 15, 2014.

Rating
The film could be the very first in the franchise to become rated PG-13 differing in the earlier films' R rating. At the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, Stallone announced that he was aiming for a PG-13 rating for the film. Stating that albeit it was close to being rated R, he wanted to reach a younger and broader audience using the new film.
