I see so many people advertise how you can succeed and the numbers that are thrown out there are what the big guys are making. The fact is, 97% of all people that get started with network marketing will fail. It is a saddening fact, but reality for the vast majority of the industry.

The reason is multi-factored. First, most companies are structured in a pyramid. To make any real money, you have to be at the top of the pyramid and the only ones that are at the top are those that got in early and stuck with it while it grew. Now they are selling the promise to newly recruited members that they can achieve these high earnings, and often times it is just not attainable.

The second reason that there is such a high failure rate in the industry is because there is an overwhelming lack of training. The industry attracts people of all kinds and they all vary in the amount of education and experience that they have. Most of them get involved because they want to work for themselves and not have to worry about a job, while others are attracted to the get-rich-quick mindset that overpowers the industry.

The fact is, in order to be successful at network marketing, all that you need to do is duplicate. I know that sounds easy, right? But what is duplication? Duplication is simply finding something or someone who is achieving success, and copying it/them.

The first step in that process is to find a company that can sustain duplication. That means that they are not heavily saturated, which means that there are already too many members so finding new ones will be a chore in itself, and that their compensation will allow you to make money. After you have found the company, you will want to find leaders within that company. A leader is anyone that can offer you something that you don't already have. A leader will help you achieve your goals.
