I run a post directory on my site, and I am seeing an increasing quantity of articles being presented, solely for the backlink given in the Resource Box. This might be as a result of increasing amount of PLR articles and material thats becoming available. Partner Sites includes more about where to deal with this thing. Now, theres certainly not anything wrong with this, I only believe that writers who are doing this are passing up on possible traffic and/or clients. Such source boxes will simply gain their site rankings in incoming links that are valued by any search engine. Is this a bad thing? No. Where they are losing out can be as follows. Much of the traffic to my article index comes from search engines, by people searching for info on a particular topic. Today, this user types in their key-words, presses o-n the search box, and is given a listing of relevant sites. Navigating To see these videos seemingly provides lessons you could give to your cousin. They selected one, and are taken up to the authors article. They browse the article about, say, snowboarding, think This is interesting and go to the authors reference field at the end of the article to see what else they have to say on this issue. There, they find a link to a site marketing portable ringtones. Is the reader going to be impressed, or thinking about this? Not so likely. They would like to learn about snowboarding, maybe not personalize their phone. In my opinion one of three things will happen then The audience leaves the whole site in disgust. The viewer clicks on a link to a relevant article. The reader clicks on a related Google Ad-sense or similar contextual marketing ad. They do not click the authors source link. That is a potential consumer dropped, quite probably for good. Yes, put a link in to your website in the resource box, but most article sites allow several links, so for goodness sake put a link in that ;s linked to the article subject too, and preferably put it in first, before you lose the client. But my site doesnt have such a thing related to that subject about it Then add something which does. Include a post index, and have the source package saying To learn more articles on this subject, click here. Add a web service, and have the writing say To view links to sites with this subject, go here. Or simply head to Click-bank, search for related projects, and have a link to them, with the link saying something such as If you want to find out more on this subject, purchase this item. Ideally, not a direct connect to the merchandise, but a cloaked or redirected one. Using this method, you still get that link to your site that you were after initially, but, additionally, you have the opportunity to make money from the audience in a brand new way. A situation. Plus, you do not seem like somebody basically submitting acquired information on any matter merely for the sake of the backlink itll give you. This wonderful image portfolio has various original suggestions for where to see this enterprise. A much more professional look. Is not it worth finding the time to produce better use of your source field?.
