Global Trucks

History of International Trucks - Navistar International is a company that manufactures different commercial vehicles and diesel engine engines. It is also the business that now owns as well as produces the International Trucks brand of heavy duty trucks, which are known for being among the best quality trucks in the.

In the Beginning of International Trucks History - To start with, International made farming along with agricultural machines and vehicles plus the International brand of equipment was well known in the mid-1800s among farmers. Cyrus Hall McCormick made the first horse drawn reaper in 1847 as the McCormick Havesting Machine Business. By 1902 he and his brother combined this provider with some other producing and equipment companies and formed that which was called the International Harvester organization.

International's First Truck - On the next several years the business continued to make tractors, trucks and other farming gear. In 1907 they produced that which was called an "auto wagon, " which was a motor truck with an air-cooled engine, high wheels and 2 cylinders, thus giving farmers a truck to work with for moving around their own gear and supplies. This truck is exactly what first put International in the truck building business.

In actuality, the name International wasn't being used by itself until 1914, so these were International Harvester auto wagon autos. In fact, they were not actually considered motor trucks until eventually 1910 either, but were considered auto buggies. In their first calendar year, the company made 73 of them, which was about seven percent from the entire trucking industry in the U. S. in 1907. The next year within 1908 that pittance skyrocketed in order to 725, which increased to nearly 2, 500 in 1909.

International's Trucks joined the transportation industry By 1915, the company began to produce even more new vehicle products, coming out with the low-wheeled vehicle that acquired more power and more speed than ever before. The following year, one of these little trucks was the 1st truck to climb Pike's Top.
