I try to remain current with natural health products and discovered essential oils by accident. My good friend said to try Lavender Essential Oil, because its the most versatile and widely-used essential oils, so I did. I discovered that there are a great deal of lavender oils out there and most of them smelled very bad. I found a great Lavender Oil on Amazon its from Butterfly Beauty Shop and it smelled similar to the flowers on a lavender plant. I did a little study to learn why and learned that there are numerous different ways to produce this oil. If you think you know anything, you will perhaps need to compare about Continue reading about this Lavender Essential Oil Uses product. This one comes from France-- which is cool and the oil is distilled from the flowering tops of the lavender plant, which makes it the most sought after lavender oil. Its official name is lavendula angustifolia. The reason some of those other oils smelled so bad is that lavender oil can be made artificial, or include other carrier oils like olive oil, vegetable oil, etc - yuck!. I checked out an article online about how to test the purity of your oil-- just place a couple drops on a sheet of paper. When pure Lavender Oil dries, there will be no residue on the paper. But if it contains a carrier oil, it will leave an oily circle. You can place a drop of olive oil on a sheet to see exactly what that oily circle with look like. Anyhow, this Lavender Essential Oil passed the test and smells beautiful. I have used it all around my residence. My favorite use is bathtime, I use it every night in my childrens bath. Aside from it making the house smell great, it assists to relieve my children so they go to sleep easier I have 4 kids. And I prefer to put a couple of drops in my tea light votive candle lights to have my entire residence smell terrific. Its a really natural smell-- crisp and clean. I have actually also dabbed it on my face when I get a zit and on my kids skin, when they get an insect bite. Its now my go-to mommy tool. I suggest everybody have a bottle of Lavender Essential Oil in their home. I wouldnt be without mine..
