Good Parenting Skills Considered

sculpture in wood - Good parenting skills needs to be practiced everyday and all sorts of day. It is a challenging task but we must maintain it throughout. Children understand what makes you tick and just what humors you. They will try what to test you, that's the reason I emphasize on maintaining rules overall.

A good parent for me is considered as one who can show her child simply how much it is loved, one who can discipline the kid, one who can be trusted then one who shows respect. A child that is shown respect easily returns the favor.

I really believe in teaching morals and setting rules for kids. A child that has rules to follow in most cases turns out to be the kid with more respect. When I say rules I do not mean rules which are set at a correctional facility for inmates. I'm speaking about basic rules and morals inherited to develop that child to the citizens we admire today.

wax sculpture - Setting a bedtime for your child at an early age and sticking with it is the start of showing good parenting skills. By doing this children will realize that bed time is 8:00 or 8:30pm which is final.

Here are a few basic parenting tips that will help you to maintain good parenting skills:

Never promise your son or daughter that you will attend his football game or her dance recital and you also did not show up. This makes your child doubt your trust.

Never give a punishment and don't follow through. For e.g. you said there will be no video games for this week before the middle of the week the little one is playing the games because you allowed it. This child already realized you cannot keep your word. It's going to create a lack of trust which could cause problems in the future.

Both parents should be on the same page when creating a decision about your child. One parent should not be saying yes and the other parent saying no. This will create animosity involving the child and the parent who said no.

feeding - You do not want to buy our child's love. As we implement the right policies and set standards he will love you for what you stand for. Before you know it he will arrive at understand that what you are doing is within his best interest.
