A Review of Musicnotes - Digital Sheet Music Dealer
sheetmusicbot - Are you an artist? Can you find the sheet music you want? If you are at all like me, then the answer is no. Even though the town I live in is not that small, there still isn't an large selection of stores in terms of music. There is only one small music store i go to (and only on rare occasions) once i need something immediately, like guitar strings for example.
sheet music - When I are interested sheet music though, that little shop isn't much help. There is certainly only a small selection of written music for the most popular genres and most popular instruments. In order to play Beethoven piano arrangements then you are fine, but if you want another thing then you are out of luck.
sheet music - I couldn't find what I wanted within my area, so online shopping was my only alternative. After trying different online written music dealers I finally came across one that I really liked-Musicnotes. This site offered instant digital written music and I thought it sounded cool, but wasn't sure how "digital" music works.
I found out that it was really easy to get it done though. In order for digital sheet music to work, you are doing need to have special written music software, but you can download that for free on the Musicnotes website. After downloading the disposable software I began looking through the music database. It had been completely different from my local music store!
This website has thousands of songs to download the sheets for, and in many different genres. The caliber of the site is great and that i have never had interest in buying from a local store again. It is possible to buy exactly what I would like and I don't even need to leave the house. I can locate a song, download the sheet music, and learn it right away.
At first I was leery about the musicnotes player software, however love it! It has many features which help you to learn songs such as being able to transpose, change the tempo, or learn one part of the song at a time.
The sole downside I can see using this program is that you must be on a computer because of these features to work. But, if you'd like you can print off the sheet music like you would. Since I use a digital piano, I usually just slide that up next to my computer in order to use the software though, it truly is a big help.
