Proof Evident is just a newly produced crime fiction novel by attorney and questionable psychiatrist, John Dicke. The story line relies around a legal case for Judge Avery Jackson who coldly murdered Sheriff Hardacre during his speech to 150 city officials. The thing is, Mr. Jackson has no memory of the event at all
Jack Maine leaves the public service and starts up an exclusive practice with the assistance of his talented wife while accepting this seemingly destined and hard case. His dedicated and patient staff includes a master investigator and an incredible young novice lawyer both of whom are fully aware they may not see a paycheck for some time. Jacks nemesis may be the quick-witted and well-financed safety team led by a formidable lawyer that's set on becoming "seen." This case is followed by death every-where. Only when the lawyers feel they are getting somewhere - people start dropping like flies. Quickly a CIA scandal is unearthed that threatens national security, which strong people are desperate to cover-up; meanwhile a ring threatens to assume control of every part of the city.
David Dicke addresses the issue of pleading Not Liable By Reason of Insanity, than I had previously been aware of which is a much larger issue. Even mentioning the plea may turn fully off a jury, who are hardened by the judgment that the plea is over repeatedly used to falsely gain sympathy, and therefore, get a light sentence for a crime they're guilty of committing.
David also shows the strong stress of a stressful situation, which can be exciting to curious lawyers tired of the routine courthouse actions, and the temptations that could destroy those that have significantly more desire than sense. It is my estimation that Proof Evident is a book for deep-thinking individuals who prefer courtroom crisis - since there is lots of it. I found myself attempting to skip through those areas, but had I done so the ending might have left me amazed and perplexed. I liked the eventful finish and was amazed with a few people as well. General, I do believe John Dicke has established a fascinating story that deserves to be given the opportunity by readers with this variety.
