If your income depend only on Google traffic and Google adsense or adwords then you might be in for a large dissapointment. Constant search engine ranking positions can make or break you. I understand. I have been there. Riding high on Google ranks then dropping just like a return to site 2 ton rock in the Altlantic water.
Your eggs are put all by do NOT in one basket. There are many other ways to based on just one, like Google and drive traffic to your internet site, is just plain bad marketing efforts.
Google, Yahoo's YPN, and other se's along with pay-per-click plans will bring you additional traffic and maybe a lot more revenue.
I now have Google Adsense and Yahoo's YPN ads on my site and I can tell you at this time that Yahoo's YPN is paying me 3 times the quantity that Adsense is paying. Why? Not sure, because both ads are included on the same based keywords. I separated pages up equally between Adsense ads and YPN ads and Yahoo is the "bigger Daddy."

Spread your advertising in a number of other ways. Test, test, then test again. Improve your pages permanently information and keyword density and then allow the search-engines eat that. Do not optimize your pages for Google only. You might number 1 today and then number 378 when they have their next algorythm change. Nothing they do is "personal", but after all the work you did to produce THEM happy when they get in your pocket it guaranteed fells like it. What I do not understand is excatly why Google is consistently changing except that it gives something to designers to accomplish for anyone large salaries. If it ain't broke, why fix it? Google is continually "fixing" a well oiled machine.
The other day I was looking for business loans and the first several pages were all results from the UK although I was on the main se, and not the Google.uk. I had to search a few pages deep to locate on in the US, if a loan had been wanted by me.
