Xbox - Sony PlayStation is one of the best gaming consoles the world has ever seen, and today, it's competing toe to toe, or joystick to joystick, with all the Microsoft Xbox. It is a gruesome race, as both consoles offer different advantages then there is not a single review on the market to determine a clear winner. The sure thing is these titans have been clashing for a few years now along with a winner has not yet been decided. What I can say however is the fact that, when it comes to history and age, Sony PlayStation wins with a landslide. This is the small piece where we discuss in regards to the long heritage Sony PlayStation brings to the gaming industry.
gaming - Sony PlayStation first appeared in Japan in December 1994 and it is still to this day regarded as being one of the best selling consoles of most times. The revolutionary console brought the gaming age to some whole, new different level. 128 bit graphics made PlayStation the brand new kid on the block with no one could say anything about it. Also the kind of the joystick has become iconic, all PlayStation consoles getting the same model of joystick. New game play, prolonged game some time and a vibrating joystick were the options that made the PlayStation the greatest console in existence.
Xbox - Sony PlayStation 2 first showed its face in July 2000 and was already competing with the Xbox Arcade as well as the Nintendo DS. This console brought graphical gameplay to new heights and would reach loading speed that were not seen fo the time being. Later on, Sony released one for PlayStation 2 that has been a slim edition, thus making the console look sleek and funky. The emphasis for the PS2 stayed on PlayStation memory cards, that gave the gamer the possibility of saving the game at any time. In this manner your game progress was remembered and you can shut down the console without concern with losing the saves.
The last PlayStation model to find out the gaming market in November 2006 will be the PS3 that included a Blu-Ray DVD player, a huge hard disk drive and a six axis joystick for advanced directional movement. Later, in '09 the PS3 Slim version premiered and it also enhanced the exterior aspect a great deal. The PS3 Slim is currently the latest PlayStation on the market and is at war with the Xbox 360 Elite for a few years now, these titans are ruling the overall game markets, fighting for supremacy. Some claim that Sony is king as well as other talk about Microsoft. It's all about the games and individual preferences.
