Making Your Backlinks Depend I

But do we know that there are numerous things we need to check always before agreeing to trading links with yet another site? In the end, the entire point of trading links...

I do believe that people all know now how essential backlinks are for the search-engine ranking success of our website. I also think that most of us know now that one method to get these backlinks is by doing link transactions with other sites. (For the uninitiated, backlinks are links o-n other internet sites that indicate ours.)

But do we know that there are many things we have to examine before agreeing to trading links with yet another website? After-all, the whole point of trading links with others will be to take advantage of the ranking of these web internet sites. It's consequently essential that we examine beforehand as to whether trading links with yet another site would be to our advantage or-not.

I've thought about this whole notion of link exchange preparation and came up with a 3-step process that requires an examination of 3 pages of the web site we want to exchange links with. The 3 pages are:

- the home page where we shall need to examine 7 things about that page,

- the directory page: this is actually the page that contains a listing of categories that your website has assembled in a bid to organize its link exchanges. We have to examine 7 things here,

- the backlink page: this is actually the site that will contain our backlink. We also have to always check 7 things here.

Note that in some cases, the 'target' internet site will not have a listing page. If so, our analysis will be a one rather than a 3-step one.

In this first report, of could be 2 or 3, we can look at the 7 things (arranged in 2 groups) we must check about the webpage of the goal web site.

1. We have to examine what Google thinks of the site. To learn more, consider taking a look at: linklicious integration. This is done by looking at some things that Google is happy to report a few site. The theory here is to see if you will find any problems with your website, from Google's viewpoint, that could cause us to determine not to trade links with them. To compare more, consider taking a peep at: Campaign for promotion book - Social Network.

I would recommend that we seem at:

a) just how many pages does your website have indexed? This can be done by utilizing 'site:www.site.com' in the Google search box,

b) just how many backlinks does Google record for your site? This is often done by using 'links:www.site.com' within the Google search box,

c) is the site listed in Google's index? This is done through the use of 'http://www.site.com' within the Google search box,

d) what is the Page Rank of the site/home site? There are several ways of doing this. One way is to have the Google toolbar and visit the site to see its PR. Yet another way is to use one of the numerous web sites on the net that enables us to obtain the PR of any web site. And still another way would be to try to find software that will tell you the PR of any internet sites.

Although we will generally need to look at these 4 things together in a type of table in order to decide if the target site passes step one or not, there are definite results that could cause me to decide immediately not to exchange links using a site:

- if the PR of your website is zero,

- when the site isn't stated in the Google index,

When the site doesn't have any pages found by Google -.

You will note here that I'm using Google since the first step in the planning. In fact, we can use any search engine if we need to but given when it comes to backlinks that Google is more fussy than others, I would suggest using Google within the above first faltering step. For supplementary information, please gaze at: index emperor.

2. I would then suggest that we examine 3 labels of the house page of the prospective site, in a bid to find out when the site features a design suitable for ours:

a) its title label,

b) its explanation draw,

D) its keywords tag.

There are several ways of checking the contents of the web page's labels. Then you will need to visit the home page and click on the right menu command to view the contents of the page, if your browser, such as for instance MSIE, enables you to view the contents of a web page. Then you will need to search to the top of the page-to view the contents of its tickets. The alternative is always to look for web sites online that allow you to view the contents of the tags of any web pages. There are many such web sites on the net. My boss found out about linklicious free by browsing the Internet.

The reason behind this step is that Google takes into account the theme of the web sites when looking at backlinks. This implies that backlinks from a site that has a style compatible with mine will be of higher price than one that comes from a site that has nothing to do with what our site is all about.

As stated above, this planning is on the home page of the target website and is simply step one. There are 2 more steps: one on the directory page and one on the backlink page.

It's only once the mark web site passes the 3 ways that we must feel confident about exchanging links with them in that the hyperlink exchange will be to our advantage. Needless to say that the goal web site may also need to conduct a similar 3-step examination of our site prior to seeking to trade links with us.
