portrait sculpture - Good parenting skills needs to be practiced everyday and all day. It is a challenging task but we need to maintain it throughout. Children understand what makes you tick along with what humors you. They will try items to test you, that is why I emphasize on maintaining rules overall.

A good parent i think is considered as one who can show her child just how much it is loved, person who can discipline the little one, one who can be trusted and something who shows respect. A young child that is shown respect easily returns the favor.

I really believe in teaching morals and setting rules for children. A child that has rules to adhere to in most cases turns out to be the child with more respect. When i state rules I do not mean rules which can be set at a correctional facility for inmates. I will be speaking about basic rules and morals in the home to develop that child into the citizens we admire today.

music - Setting a bedtime for the child at an early age and sticking with it is the start of showing good parenting skills. By doing this children will realize that bed time is 8:00 or 8:30pm which is final.

Here are a few basic parenting tips that will help you to maintain good parenting skills:

Never promise your son or daughter that you will attend his football game or her dance recital and also you did not show up. This will make your child doubt your trust.

Never give a punishment and never follow through. For e.g. you said there won't be any video games for this week before the middle of the week the little one is playing the games as you allowed it. This child already realized you can not keep your word. It'll create a lack of trust which could cause problems in the future.

Both dad and mom should be on the same page when creating a decision about your child. One parent shouldn't be saying yes and the other parent saying no thanks. This will create animosity involving the child and the parent who said no.

love affair - You do not want to buy our child's love. When we implement the right policies and set standards he will thank you for what you indicate. Before you know it he will arrived at understand that what you are doing is within his best interest.
