Biblical Prophecy

De BISAWiki

Now most of the end of the world prophecies tends to have religious overtones, as in Armageddon and the Biblical Book of Revelation. I've noted on the Internet one 54 year old Californian religious loony who is absolutely convinced he would be part of the rapture on the 21st of May, 2011. That's it - that's the judgement day, the second coming of Christ, the end of the world as we know it. I predict that he was very disappointed when he woke up in his California abode on the 22nd of May 2011 in a totally un-raptured state.

Biblical prophecy after biblical prophecy can be found among the pages of the Holy Bible There are so many true and spiritual prophets who are to be found among the rice paper-thin sheets of the Holy Bible that it can be hard to get them straight, along with what they had to say. There is a book in the Bible called the Book of Revelations; many people have heard of it and know of it as the account of what the world is going to be like in the End Times.

There are many things Biblical scholars are pointing to about this visit, that signifies that end time Bible prophecy is taking place. For one thing, Obama will be arriving in Jerusalem 6 days before passover. This is when Jesus also arrived in Jerusalem. The Bible says when the first seal is opened, the antichrist will imitate Jesus. Is this what's happening here? Some Bible scholars say it is! He will only be there for one week, and they say this is also significant, as they say it mirrors the fact that the antichrist shall confirm a covenant with may for 1 week. Is this a sign?

Everyone knows there are 365 days in a year-except, seemingly, the Bible. The Bible repeatedly talks like there are only 360 day s in a year and even 30 day s in all months but never speaks of a shorter month or a 365 day year like we see today. While some say it simply means primitive man had inaccurate calendars, that does not explain why the length of the Great Tribulation given in Revelation only works on a similar 360/30 calendar. Is that really possible and what does the troublesome Wormwood star that Revelation mentions just before the Tribulation have to do with it? »»

A careful study of the hundreds of relevant texts shows that biblical prophets rarely speak about future events as if they were inevitable, but much more often transmit various kinds of messages on behalf of God to the people, conveying God's interpretation of the past, present, and future aspects of people's lives. The End Times Thus, a "prophet" in the Bible is primarily a "spokesperson for God," someone who receives messages from God and conveys them to other people. If a prophet speaks words that are not from God, he or she is considered a false prophet or sometimes called a prophet of another god (e.g. "prophets of Baal" in the OT).

The idea that our respective governments and officials will warn us and tell us how to prepare could be a dangerous one to believe in. If there were to be a global event that many would not survive, the warning alone would cause mass panic, and thousands of deaths as chaos reigned in the streets. Food and water would be hoarded when it could be found, people would stop listening to any authority, it would be every person for themselves. We like to think we would help our neighbor, but if it came down to them or you, what do you think would really happen?
