Discover Menorca's Hidden Beaches
De BISAWiki
Menorca has around 200 kilometres of coast-line, a lot of it composed of beautiful sandy coves enclosed by rocky headlands. The island has more shores than Majorca and Ibiza assembled, so it's deservedly popular with those looking for a beach holiday. A lot of the south of the island, as-in Son Bou and Cala durante Porter, is just a holidaymaker's playground, with long stretches of beach which are popular and crowded within the year, however you can go for Menorcaas more out-of-the-way shores if youad favour more privacy. Even in the south, you'll find small beaches for example Cala Binibeca, having a small cafe, and Els Canutells, a small hotel near Cala en Porter. And a drive from San Clemente, brings one to Calas Coves where amazing cliffs surround two tiny beaches.
When youave sick and tired of lazing on-the beach, there are many interesting caves to find. More Than 100 Bronze Age caves, filled with carvings and pictures, are cut to the cliff overlooking the sheltered bay. At the eastern end of Son Bou can be found the ruins of an early Christian basilica. Finally, the wonderful cash Mahon, on the east of the area, has wonderful Georgian architecture and second largest natural harbour in the entire world, second only to Pearl Harbour. Northwards to flee the crowds
Additionally it has a great share of the islandas uncrowded small beaches, interesting country walks, and a variety of water-sports including sailing, while the north of Menorca has some active places. At Cala Pregonda, a drive from Son Parc and Fornells, a walk from the car park, is a remote sandy beach with crystal blue waters. The rocky outcrops offshore provide good snorkelling. Have a picnic, because there are not any services. The long sandy beach at Cavalleria is also quite isolated, and, again, have provisions, since there is nowhere to get food or drinks.
Not far from the lively household beach of Arenal d'en Castell with its lines of sunbeds, bars, restaurants, and organized water activities is Na Macaret, with its small sandy beach. Itas a nearby favourite and there are some good restaurants in the edge. Only more to the south, nearby the lighthouse at Cap de Favaritx, is the beautiful white-sand beach of Cala Presili. This wonderful commercial south beach condos encyclopedia has limitless powerful cautions for how to see about this view. The beach can be a walk in the car park and you will find no features, so this beach is unquestionably one-of Menorcaas most quiet. Notably more developed, but ideal for small kids is Es Grau, using its shallow water, sandy beach and large bay. For a trip to the regional Illa d'en Colom, an area in the Mahn Bay, youall find a string of beautiful remote beaches. I discovered commercial south beach condos by browsing the Internet.
