developmental stages - Good parenting skills ought to be practiced everyday and all day. It is a challenging task but we have to maintain it throughout. Children know what makes you tick and what humors you. They will try things to test you, that's the reason I emphasize on maintaining rules across the board.
A good parent for me is considered as one who can display her child how much it is loved, person who can discipline the little one, one who can be trusted and something who shows respect. A young child that is shown respect easily returns the favor.
In my opinion in teaching morals and setting rules for youngsters. A child that has rules to follow in most cases turns out to be the kid with more respect. When i state rules I do not mean rules which can be set at a correctional facility for inmates. I will be speaking about basic rules and morals in the home to develop that child into the citizens we admire today.
children’s movement plays - Setting a bedtime for the child at an early age and sticking with it is the start of showing good parenting skills. In this way children will realize that bed time is 8:00 or 8:30pm and that is final.
Here are a few basic parenting tips that will assist you to maintain good parenting skills:
Never promise your child that you will attend his football game or her dance recital and you also did not show up. As a result your child doubt your belief.
Never give a punishment and do not follow through. For e.g. you said gone will be the video games for this week when the middle of the week the little one is playing the games as you allowed it. This child already realized you can't keep your word. It'll create a lack of trust which can cause problems in the future.
Both parents should be on the same page when creating a decision about your child. One parent should not be saying yes and the other parent saying no thank you. This will create animosity between the child and the parent who said no.
nature versus nurture - You do not need to buy our child's love. If we implement the right policies and set standards he will adore you for what you are a symbol of. Before you know it he will arrived at understand that what you are doing is in his best interest.
