the brain and art - Good parenting skills should be practiced everyday and all day. It is a challenging task but we must maintain it throughout. Children know what makes you tick along with what humors you. They will try items to test you, that's the reason I emphasize on maintaining rules overall.

A good parent in my opinion is considered as one who can present her child how much it is loved, person who can discipline the little one, one who can be trusted and one who shows respect. A young child that is shown respect easily returns the favor.

In my opinion in teaching morals and setting rules for kids. A child that has rules to follow along with in most cases turns out to be the little one with more respect. When I say rules I do not mean rules which are set at a correctional facility for inmates. I'm speaking about basic rules and morals in the household to develop that child into the citizens we admire today.

Here are a few basic parenting tips that will assist you to maintain good parenting skills:

Never promise your son or daughter that you will attend his football game or her dance recital and you also did not show up. This will make your child doubt your trust.

Never give a punishment and don't follow through. For e.g. you said gone will be the video games for this week but before the middle of the week the kid is playing the games since you allowed it. This child already realized you cannot keep your word. It'll create a lack of trust which can cause problems in the future.

Both parents should be on the same page when coming up with a decision about your child. One parent really should not be saying yes and the other parent saying no thank you. This will create animosity involving the child and the parent who said no.
