Consuming In Thailand

Initially I visited Thailand was in 1973. I was a soldier in the United States Army and Bangkok was my first duty station. I was there for 18 months and my first meal in America was a Large Mac, fries and a Coke.

Times have changed and the Thailand countryside is dotted by fast food places. Everything from KFC to McDonalds to Pizza Hut is everywhere. Click here pizza cutters to learn how to provide for it. Granted, I'm a junk food junkie in the states, but usually in Thailand, I have a tendency to eat the local food. Actually it's Thai junk food.

I choose to eat from the local street vendors that can have a dish ready for you in less than one minute. And, it is a great deal cheaper and tastier than the local Burger King.

But, when I am in Thailand for three or four days, ultimately I give in and need some burgers, fried chicken, or pizza. And, for my Thai girlfriend, it's a special treat to eat in one of the American "restaurants."

When I visit Khon Kaen, I want to eat the fresh seafood in the local restaurants. Bar-B-Que prawn with veggies and grain is all I want for lunch. My darling are certain to get some oysters and papaya salad and all is good.

When we are in the room and choose to stay into watch a DVD video, she just likes to call the Pizza Company for a few pizza and chicken wings. I obtain the pizza and the wings are devoured by her.

Breakfasts are often common fare of eggs and rice with perhaps a sausage or two. Sporadically it will be Thai soup or a noodle dish like pad thai. Once in a while we like to go to a hotel run by foreigners and they have an "American" morning meal. If you think any thing, you will perhaps wish to learn about pizza cutters.

Dinners are treats for me personally. I prefer to get some chicken or pork BBQ on the stick to some sticky rice. We both enjoy the Khon Kaen restaurants which are around the local lake or rivers. They've these little, thatched booths with good views. The meals and service is great and some have a band playing local Thai country music.

So, Thailand has the most useful of both sides. It is possible to get such a thing from the pizza to a hamburger, or fried rice and noodles. Great food and very prices. Another reason I enjoy Thailand..
