Even though the town I live in isn't that small, there still isn't a large selection of stores in terms of music. There is only one small music store that I go to (and only on rare occasions) when I need something immediately, like post for example.

After trying different online sheet music dealers I finally found one that I really liked-Musicnotes. This site offered instant digital written music and I thought it sounded cool, but wasn't sure how "digital" music works.

I realized that it was really easy to get it done though. In order for a digital sheet music to work, you are doing need to have special sheet music software, but you can download that free of charge on the Musicnotes website. After downloading the disposable software I began looking through the music database. It had been completely different from my local music store!

This website has thousands of songs to download the sheets for, and in many different genres. The quality of the site is great and i also have never had interest in purchasing from a local store again. It is easy to buy exactly what I want and I don't need to leave the house. I can find a song, download the written music, and learn it right away.

At first I was leery in regards to the musicnotes player software, however love it! It has many features that assist you to learn songs for example being able to transpose, change the tempo, or learn one section of the song at a time.

The only real downside I can see with this program is that you must be on a computer for these features to work. But, if you'd like you can print off of the sheet music like you normally would. Since I use a digital piano, I usually just slide that up alongside my computer so I can use the software though, it truly is a big help.
