Orbs – Are They Paranormal

One of the more common emails and letters I receive has to do with photographs of anomalous shapes and lights on film and digital media. People want (sometimes demand) that I and my colleagues review photos and explain what the images are – naturally they want us to identify the images as “ghosts.” In almost all such cases, people present did not see, hear or otherwise experience anything paranormal – which means they did not know the photo had anything “unusual” on it until later. In many of the cases, they were not even in a location with any current (or even past) witnesses saying the place was haunted.
Lens glare , flash glare, and external light glare are also capable of producing this effect in pictures. Most people unfamiliar with photography fail to realize that flash can produce glare even off of soft objects such as fabric, fur, rough unpolished wood, etc., all of this can create light orbs video a orb like effect. This can also create mist like effects mistaken for spirits. But thats a whole other topic. Lens glare and external glare can also create a telescoping effect, where it appears several orbs are in a line. This can most certainly be identified as man made every time.
Believers in the paranormal explanations, however, argue that it is impossible to explain all such occurrences with a 'one-size-fits-all' explanation. Some have claimed to have seen orbs form with the naked eye, whilst others believe they have observed orbs acting intelligently. Sometimes an orb may seem to appear in a photograph or video in response to a cue such as the classic "is there anybody there?"; however, this may be due to 'confirmation bias', in that such claims do not control for occasions where an orb appears which is not in response to a cue.
Angels differ from us in that they do not have the ability to alter or enhance energy expressions. They are messengers, not builders. As such they are not creators of realities, but are rather pipelines between realities. Specifically, they are the telegraph system between our energy grid creations and the resting and assessing zone between. We assist your journey while you are creating in a so called physical form, while they keep you on track as to what you were individually intending during this life and bridge you to the next.
For many of them, the orb photos could constitute the bulk of their evidence and they are simply unwilling to erase the majority of what has made them who they see themselves as. This is similar to teams that have the words Ghost Hunters in their name. Most claim to be too well established under that name. When I first started I called myself Portland Paranormal Investigations. I had a domain name, email address and a lot of other things tied to that name. Once I decided to change it to Portland Ghosts I just did it. In hindsight it wasn’t a big deal and happened very quickly.
Make sure the shot is clear. I've lost count of the number of times I've excitedly thought for a moment that I'd caught something, only on closer inspection realizing that it's actually the camera strap or the tip of a finger. I learnt my lesson and now know to have the strap over my neck or my wrist and to hold the camera properly. The camera should be held between the thumb on bottom and your index and middle fingers on top, neither should overlap the front edge of the camera. The ring and little fingers should be curled back to the palm.
