Over Just a Battle - No Ropes And No The place To Hide

In case you never know, this is kick-boxing taken to the next level: seriously,...

You understand, I used to think I was quite handy at looking after myself. I am a belt in karate, and I take my black belt grading later this season. I know I'm perhaps not Super-man, but I had want to think I could handle myself if I got into a scrape. Then I went to a martial arts competition and saw these guys do san shou kickboxing, and I felt like quitting there and then. These guys are phenomenal!

In case you don't know, this is return to site kickboxing taken up to another level: seriously, these men know no fear! I have a friend who techniques Muay Thai, and I told him about what I found, and he said that he had be skeptical about taking on someone that's been competed in san shou. If you can imagine getting best wishes items of Chinese freestyle fighting, so you can use shoes, blows, punches, you identify it, then times it by five, and you could be getting close.

So, like I said, I was knocked out (no pun intended!) by what the san shou fighters could do, so I decided to perform a little digging. And what I learned just blew me away no surprise I was satisfied at the show. This particular martial-art has been used for 2000 years, and virtually allows any type of beat going. I already told you that they mix in Chinese freestyle; you can add submission wrestling and ground fighting to that frightening list! If you think the UFC men are hard, you ain't seen nothing yet!

What really amazed me is how popular the activity is. I'd never been aware of it before, never head seen a round. However now that I know very well what it is, I can see why the kind of ESPN bring it on pay-per-view, as this type of fighting is more exciting than any I have seen to date. The guidelines are pretty simple, also, therefore it is easy to follow for any beginner. And yes, I include myself there!

Fighting in a ring much like another martial-arts ring, bouts are won by both throwing or pushing your opponent out the ring, or in the more vicious bouts in China, by knocking your opponent out with elbow strikes or leg strikes. Since there are no rules and they fight often on the raised band, this creates some heavy-duty knockouts and that's why I have fallen in love with it. There is no fighting here these men are really looking to hit each spark out! This is true, total contact fighting at its best, and probably among the best methods being shown today.

Don't trust me? Look at this then in a annual competition between American kickboxers and Chinese san shou kickboxers, the competition (if you can call it that!) must be stopped because the Americans were getting their butts kicked actually! In the last opposition, the san shou people won all fights. Not bad to get a little-known discipline, huh?

So yes, like I was saying. I thought I was decent. And perhaps at karate, I am. But now I realize that isn't the be all and end all it may be a bit late, but I'm trying out san shou. Then I might give my kickboxing buddy just a little surprise or two
