The Day When Michael Shall Stand Up
De BISAWiki
But very few realize that about 90% of Satan's modus operandi will be driven by deception and not by force or compulsion against the will. It is only when Satan sees that you will not be duped by his conmanship that he will employ the 10% use of force. As you are reading this article the vast majority are being deceived by some means or the other and do not have a clue that they are being hoodwinked. And if this can be happening now, how difficult would it be for the Devil to succeed in the future with even greater deceptions?
Now extrapolate that up to a true believer who does hold some high position of real power. What if you could manipulate foreign policy in such a way as to ensure or bring forward Armageddon? Or, if the world's going to end tomorrow anyway and you believe that with all your heart and soul that's going to be the case, well you may as well press the nuclear button now. The leader of your most hated foreign power is laughing at your stupidity, so you're going to want to make sure it's doomsday for them too!
Understanding the future gives us great confidence of God's faithfulness to provide for our every need. For example, we see that while Jewish followers of Jesus will be on the run, with no possessions other than the clothes on their backs for the last three and a half years before the return of Christ, God will provide for their every need each and every day! Realizing that strengthens our faith to trust God with our situations. As a result, we have greater confidence to face the future, no matter how bleak it may look, because we know God will faithfully provide for our needs as we trust Him for them.
One of the strongest objective evidences of Biblical inspiration if the phenomenon of fulfilled prophecy. The bible is essentially unique among the religious books of mankind in this respect. Some of them contain a few vague forecasts, but nothing comparable to the vast number of specific prophecies found in the Bible. The same is true of modern "prophets", so-called. Such seers as Nostradamus, Jean Dixon, and others have made many predictions, but often they are nebulous and capable of various meanings. A few of their prophecies seem to have been fulfilled in a general way, but most of the have completely failed.(1/181)
The chance of any one man fulfilling all of 48 prophecies is one in 10 to the 157 power. The electron is about as small an object as we can imagine. if we had a cubic inch of these electrons and tried to count them, it would take us (at 250 per minute) 19,000 time 19,000 time Post Tribulation 19,000 years to count them. Now mark one of them, and thoroughly stir it into the whole mass. What chance does our blindfolded man have of finding the right electron? - The same chance as one man of fulfilling 48 of the prophecies about Christ, without being the Son of God!
Some Christian scholars believe the verses 11–14 refer to the era of salvation beginning with Christ's resurrection 105 and its coming fulfillment on the last day. 106 Thus, they think that the claim Paul makes here about salvation is a claim every Christian and not only Paul in his time can affirm. 107 Some see this verse as indicating that there are no prophesied or salvation events before the Lord comes. 108 Those holding the belief that Paul has a longer time span in view point to its context after Romans 11, which describes the repentance of all of Israel in future.
